Title: [WM] Lizardmen for Warmaster Skimish
Post by: Angor on January 19, 2010, 09:15:34 AM
Hi guys

At the moment we are only playing Warmaster Skirmish at the moment, we have become quite addicted. I mfoudn this a great excuse to start a new Warmaster army due to the low unit count actually needed (It also helps to cover for my incredibly slow painting). I wanted to put together a really eye catching army so I have been trying to dedicate as much time as I would to a normal unit, but to each stand.

So far I have only managed to make a trial stand for the army, I am fairly happy with it and am putting together some other units for it.

So here is my first unit of skink skirmishers.

I am also planning two huge stegadons for my force made from childrens toys. I havent yet decided on how these will look yet.... I just have the toys.

C&C always welcome.

Very, very cool.
The base is very thematic and helps you to increase the amount of units you can get out of a pack.
How did you do the swamp bases?
I am toying with doing something similar (more marsh) for my albion army.

Thanks guys.

The swamp was done with lots of layers of pva glue each one with a little bit of green or blue paints and washes added to them. I didnt let one of the layers dry properly so it went a little cloudy. I am not sure if it looks right or if it just looks like I painted the base green??

Maybe if I get some gloss varnish it will make it alook a little wetter?

I am working on some saurus and some kroxigor at the moment, I am trying to get the same sort of look for them. Obviously witht he saurus being on strips it is a little harder to make really themed bases but I am trying hard.
