Title: First try at a Kislev list. Any advice?

Hi all,

In my constant drive to buy toys I’m now thinking about a Kislev army. Before I go wild on ebay does anyone have any suggestions regarding a good list? So far I’ve come up with the following:

6 Horse Archers 480
4 Axemen   180
4 Bowmen   220
2 Bears   170
4 Knights   440
War Wagon   140
General (Tzarina) 150
Hero on bear 90
Hero 80
Shaman 45

This gives a BP of 11,  and roughly 6 brigades commanded by four heroes (only three of whom seem to be viable commanders but I’d expect that the shaman will be babysitting the two infantry regiments whose main purpose will be staying alive while the knights move forwards. I’m wondering if the number of knights needs increasing (and the horse archer dropping)…

Any thoughts?

LOADS and LOADs of horse archers!!!

That's good to hear, they're the only ones still available to buy  :). What would you drop from the list to fit them in?

One hero, some axeman, bears

But I give you alternative, DONT hunt for Kislev, but make green Horde......

Has someone done an alternative Orc list for Kislev?

I've been using Parthians for my Kislev, but the idea of using Orcs interests me.

The first one I remember was a Swedisch player with nickname The Happy Ent. He ran a green Kislev army at the first EuroGT that hosted Warmaster, including somenice scratchbuild Squigoths for his Warwaggons.

I started a goblin only Kislev-proxy for the Tale of Warmaster painters, but am running behind a bit on schedule due to Real Life (tm), essentialy when using a proxy army you are using existing figures and an existing list. With goblins-only I still need to figure out some slots:

horse archer ° wolfrider
knights ° could fill this with boar-riders when playing GREEN kislev, but I will probably try an scratchbuild some for the goblin-only one
archer & axemanare doable with existing goblins models
I use trolls for my bears (look at my thread in the painter story
and you need to be creative for the warwagons.

This will allow for a unique flavor of Kislev, but essential still use the Kislev armyselector
