Post by: marell le fou on June 07, 2010, 04:28:51 AM
What is the rarity of dwarves hammerers ? Do you know their approx price on ebay ? Are they easy to find ?

No....because in 3 years I only saw them once on e-bay.

Price is allways depending on the number of guys looking for a specific unit but for me it seems that Dwarf units are not that much wanted......but maybe I´m wrong.

Regards
Claus

They came up a bit back, a the seller identified them incorrectly.
So I picked up a full inpainted unit in mint condition for £6 including postage  ;D

That being said I have only seen them twice on eBay :(
The first set went for an absolute fortune.

I would say they are in the same category as Swordmaster and Dragonprinces, pricewise.

dragon princes come up a lot less than sword masters and phoenix guard.
I should know :(

OK so the rarity is the same than other oop units.

I would say rarer, almost in a league with storm of chaos characters.

I'm guessing that this thread is at least vaguely related to the two units of Hammerers I've just spotted on ebay.... ::)

Well I know you're not in California, so I'm guessing that you're the current highest bidder...

I got my unit a while back, very cheap :)

Shame the dragon princes just went for £30+ :(
One of the last alt units I want/need (delete as applicable) ;)

In fact no, it was this one : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160439061164&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSA:GB:1123

Same price but more stuff :)

So, finaly, do you know who won the auction you were talking about ?

No idea, just not me. I only bid on them to take a chance, I don't think I'll ever put a Dwarf army together so would be unlikely to use them if I had won the auction.

I would like to boast that I picked up a couple of units of Hammerers for £4 a blister at a wargaming show recently! They are out there, they are just very hard to find. A friend of mine did something similar with finding 2 units of High Elves Phoenix Guard. Some people do not know what is rare and what is not.

I am after Dragon Princes too!

Yes, it was at Triples. It's always worth scouring the second hand stalls for warmaster.

My best ever was a deal (about a year ago) when I picked up a huge box that contained about 100 warmaster blisters and asked "how much for the lot?" the man was obviously relieved to be getting rid of them all at one go and said how about £100 for the lot. Let's just say I didn't have the heart to haggle any further!!!! My friend and fellow forumite Marky Parky was there to witness it.

This provided me with the bulk of my current Empire and Tomb Kings armies.

I thought the second hand stands were very poor this year and definitely didn't see any warmaster stuff :(
