Maybe I'm just being stupid and/or blind, but it seems the link to the BB rules has been removed from the GW website (as have Necro, Mordheim and the other SG games). All the "Resources" sections have gone, and there's just links to the models.
If you know them, the direct links still works, but I can't find any links on the site itself.

They're still there, but made much harder to find. You have to open up the product description for the rules or boxset, and then that gives a link to the old resources page. ::)

Any insights from people with GW contacts as to why they were removed? The free rulebooks are useful for recruiting new players, and I can't imagine that the (probably narrow) margins they make on the books justify the lost profits from miniature orders.

Did you read 2nd post?

Yes, and I think you're missing my point. Somebody had to re-roll the menu to remove the resources section. The other link seems to be the kind of legacy link that gets left behind when something's scrubbed off. So I'm wondering what the thinking behind the decision was.

To be honest I tried and with BFG NOTHING changed.
At least not since they started the crappy site.
Blood Bowl also as usual.

My concern is the out of print games such as Gorkamorka, Dark Future and Dungeon Bowl. I'm fairly sure I grabbed them all, but now getting Gorkamorka players is going to be as difficult as it used to be, because I'm looking really hard and I can't find any of the out of print games anywhere on the site.
EDIT: Aha! I forgot about the search function!

So yeah, indeed, nothing has changed, its just a lot more difficult to find. You can even find the Out of Print stuff if you know where to look. So if in doubt, use the search.

Whoops! Forgot I posted that here. :-[
People emailed and phoned GW the following day, and supposedly someone was updating the website, and screwed it up, and was in the process of fixing it (hence why it's back to normal now).
I say supposedly, as I've lost so much faith in GW I wouldn't be suprised if they had tried to remove them, then put them back because of the response. ::)

Resources have been put back.
As a former web developer, I'm perfectly comfortable with the explanation that it was a code glitch that removed it. What concerned me was that it was removed from several games at once from all the menus. Normally in web development they don't change anything without a Change Request from a manager. So when something goes missing that's a lot more worrying because it means that a decision has crossed someone's desk somewhere (especially since there isn't a lot of attention given to SG it means someone is investing time in making decisions about it).
