Just picked up two 100% complete copies of the old battle Masters game from the local charity shop. One for £6.00 one for £4.50.
100 citadel plastic miniatures in each. Sometimes you just get lucky.

Had my first game yesterday evening against my 7 year old son.
His chaos knights smashed up 3 units of my knights whilst his wolf riders tore appart my remaining knights and most of the infantry. All this despite my cannon killing his Ogre champion very early on.
That card based movement system can deal out some right nightmare scenarios.

Indeed it does, but is is also a tremndous trap to capture young ones into the hobby (especialy if you stack the deck to make them win)
-
what scale are the models?
Any pics?
-
28mm. Just Google it, there's plenty of pictures.

Looks similar to Battlelore, and perhaps to the command and Colors system.

2nd battle, he wanted to be the empire this time.
A series of moves and charges by his knights wiped out my Wolf Riders, Goblins, Ogre Champion and Chaos Knights.
His ability to consistently roll three skulls from four dice and my total inability to roll a single shield in defence saw my left flank collapse spectacularly.
Luckily, a change in card fortunes meant that my Chaos Warriors could strike back and eventually gave a narrow win to the forces of disorder. (I had 1 unit or Orcs untouched and one unit of beastmen with two skulls - three and they would have died- left)
Next time I wargame I am going to take him along to roll the dice for me.

LOL - all our kids are banned from our club - we're all fed up of being on the end of the run of 20 sixes! ;D

My son got a couple of his friends to play BM with him. They thought it was OK but saw the flyer for heroquest and space crusade in the BM box and wanted to try one of them. They opted for Space Crusade and are now die hard Marine fans.
