Title: High Elves

I took a small break from painting my undead army and finished some swordmasters. While taking the pictures I played around a little bit with the light and found out that the bright summer sun is a much better source than my lamp or flash   :)  But I think I put too much varnish on the cloaks so the light is reflecting to much. Maybe I'll repaint the deeper areas as well as the black spot on the left arm on the guy in the 2nd row.  ;D

I think it's still a little bit too edgy and looks more like a chinese character. I'd like to have it rounder and softer. But after several attempts I surrendered.  :'(




@ Guthwine:

Do you have any special units for your high elf army? I'd like to see some painted by you. :) Or are you busy with your dwarves for the Euro GT?

@doubleclick: Yes I do have some special units but at the moment I am stuck with a reaver unit and the biggest distraction right now is the release of Starcraft 2. :)

Please dont remind me of Starcraft 2 because it would really really mess up my schedule.  :) I still get sweaty hands when I think of Starcraft 1. I most remember when you had to defend the marine fortress against hordes of Zerg. It really gave you the Starship Troopers feeling!  ;D

Forget Starcraft and get painting, those Swordmasters are fabulous and I'd like to see more good stuff!

Yep. that's why my harddisk will never see starcraft 2. And you should better stop doing commision work  ;D and get your nice talabheim empire troops done. Show me more pictures please. Especially I'm looking forward to seeing your knights of the panther!

Civ5 has interrupted my painting schedule. Luckily it keeps crashing though, so in the time that I have to reboot the PC I can get a bit of work done on the Warhammer stuff I'm working on at the moment. I might commit myself to some more Warmaster related painting again in time, but painting the odd EIR legionary is good for a break every now and then with all the WH stuff I'm painting at the moment.

Very nice HE's BTW...
