Title: Necron 2000 list

I've bought a few vessels and played two games. BFG is very interesting. I'm tinking of boosting to 2000pts. Here is my current list idea. Are their limits to the number of models in a formation?

1 Tombship
2 Scythe
2 Shroud
6 Jackal
6 Dirge
+2 re-rolls
---
1975

What exactly do you mean by a formation? A squadron? If so then:
Escorts 2-6 vessels per squadron
Cruisers (including normal, heavy and battle- , and any combination thereof) 2-4 per squadron
Grand Cruisers 2-3 per squadron
Battleships 2-3 per squadron

If by formation you mean fleet, then there are only the limitations of your fleet list.

the squadron limitation are written in the squadron rules?

Yes and/or in the pages before the fleet list starts (Ships of the Gothic Sector)
