Title: [WM] Large Amounts on their way to Ebay
Post by: Carrington on December 04, 2010, 07:02:46 PM
I'm moving house in January, so this mover's baleful eye has fallen on a huge box of unpainted, often still-blistered Warmaster.

This is likely to go up on Ebay, ideally with the auctions to conclude next Sunday.  But I wanted to get some sense whether there was particular interest within the Sg/taccoms community.   I'll be doing a more thorough inventory in the next couple days, but please drop me a PM if you're interested in any particular factions (at my prices): as a general guideline, I'd sell rare blisters (from the newer armies -- Skaven, Brets, Dark elves, lizzies) at $10 apiece/9 if unblistered) and the more common units -- e.g. the ever-popular Empire, chaos, High Elves, or even dwarves at $6/blister, $4 unblistered).

Also, I have more than my share of character blisters (Elves, Empire, Dwarves, Orcs) which I'm willing to break into bits -- e.g. if you want to make units of flying elven magicians, Swordmasters, or Empire Halberdiers.

Shipping would be from the U.S..  Ballpark to Europe shipping works out to something like $6/pound, or (more ballpark, from weighing a random sample of 8 undead blisters) $7/ten blisters. An awful lot (about 20 pounds) can go in a $50 Large Flat Rat box.

Specifically, I have: (it's embarrassing)
Bretonians: Claus, Wellspring
Lizardmen: Fracas
Skaven: Fracas, Marelle, Claus
Dwarves: David Wasilewski
Dark Elves:Wellspring, The Dog
Vamp Counts: Wellspring
Undead: Wellspring
High Elves: The Dog
Orcs: Dave
Chaos: Jaggedtooth, The Dog
Demons: The Dog, Jaggedtooth
Empire: Invalid Man

Warmaster Magazine Issues 1-16. The Dog?

inventory here: https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=0AtGy7noBM-uGdEFuS1FUa1pRbTNmanRTOTZ3aWhoLWc&hl=en&output=html

Drop me a note at Carrington dot ward at gmail dot com if you have a specific interest... and, actually, I'd appreciate if you'd post here as well -- the forum interest would be a bit more convenient.

Oops... and oh by the way, just to add to the embarrassment, a big stock of BFG ships (mainly Ork, with some Chaos and Empire) that I haven't figured out how to price.
... and a spare rulebook for Warmaster and Warmaster Ancients.

And, finally, I'm happy to maintain a Pound or Euro Balance in Paypal -- which means I'm happy to quote you prices in that currency (off Bloomberg's currency quotes)

Hi, I'm potentially interested in some of your stuff. Off the top of my head I'd quite like:

Dwarf: Gyrocopter
Chaos: Dragon, chariots
Empire: Knights
Bretonnian: An army maybe, depends what you have really

I'll send an email.  ;D

This can be arranged, for the most part.  Just short on Chaos Chariots.  (But I could liberate some elvish chariots from their previous owners ;) )

Mmm... was secretly hoping nobody would be interested in the Skaven.  :-/.

... I really think the Empire sculpts are wonderful, and it's not like Skaven are that interesting to paint....

;-)

Barring problems, I'll go first come first served with these sales, probably post a google spreadsheet tonight. (Depending on when my son finally gets to bed).

Pretty much could need everything of these 2 armies.  ;D

Looks like the next army I paint is Empire... and Dwarven cavalry.

:-/.

I think Nuln is a good paint scheme.

Marelle,

It looks like Fracas will have first pick of the Skaven litter.. I'll try to move that trade along so you need not keep money in your pocket unnecessarily.

:-) More later.

(In general, I've been slow to post my exact inventory in response to all this interest -- my apologies; I spent much of my day trying to wear out my toddling son, in hopes of moving his (real) bedtime somewhat Southward -- I fear he wore me out faster than I him!)

More later.

Ok, I'm compiling my inventory in a Google spreadsheet.  I'll e-mail you access rights to the spreadsheet when you e-mail me/when I get to inventorying your specific interests.

Feel free to fill in the Quantity desired on the Spreadsheet...

Currently, that sheet is publicly posted at

Not sure, we will see. Prices are quiet high.

What do you call lizzies exactly ? You both uses this term but as english is not my language i can't really understand this.
Title: Re: Unpainted WM (and BFG) for sale
Post by: Carrington on December 05, 2010, 11:17:10 PM
Oh, lizzies: Lizardmen....

Yeah, I can imagine why google translate wouldn't work on that.
Title: Re: Unpainted WM (and BFG) for sale
Post by: marell le fou on December 05, 2010, 11:28:59 PM
Ok ! i was wondering if it was a term for already open blisters or incomplete units or something like that :)

This looks complicated... Let me apologize in advance if it takes a little while to sort things through: I'm genuinely interested in making sure these castings find a good home, but I'm realizing it's going to take a bit to keep track of priorities, etc.

I've edited the original post to put down a first cut at who has expressed interest in each faction... I'll try to work through these trades on a first-come, first served basis, with one proviso: I'd like to resolve the trades for high-interest armies as a first priority (Skaven, that's you), partially to resolve uncertainty for people further back in the queue.

If you've expressed interest in a a less-popular army, I'm going to try to back-burner the trade a little bit (but feel free to make an offer, or bug me for inventory).  So far I haven't listed VC, Orcs, and HElf stuff, but working on it.

Again, the inventory is at https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=0AtGy7noBM-uGdEFuS1FUa1pRbTNmanRTOTZ3aWhoLWc&hl=en&output=html

Predictably, sorting this all out will be a bit of a headache for me... but hopefully not for you.

Again, many thanks for the interest.

They are indeed unpainted -- This should simplify things.  I'll wait on Marelle's word for the Skaven.

Interesting; had a chance to compare the spreads between unblistered and blistered GW metals here and in the UK.

In short, it looks like the trade winds run East to West across the pond. I guess that makes sense.

I'll take another look at the Euro-denominated spreads if certain deals fall through.

:-).

Has anyone noticed that U.S. shipping boxes are better made, though?

Nope... go to it.

Dwarves are sitting on my scale right now, pending an offer.  I'll let you know where that goes. ... Heh... ok, well that's convenient -- I was just trying to figure out what I'd do with those flame cannons.

I haven't gotten around to listing my mortal Chaos and High Elf Stuff, partially because it's primed and/semi-painted.... and partially because I've got a whole lot of it.  At this point, I'm fairly sure I could supply 2k points of each (@$4/unit) in almost any configuration you'd want -- it's probably easiest to send me an army list and I can find you the units.

Moving forward slowly, folks... sorry for the delay.  My wife came home from work with a fairly high fever, which meant that child-care ended up taking priority over lead trades.

My blistered Skaven have been invoiced, and should be in the mail fairly soon... I'll be getting to the next claimants tomorrow AM.

Many thanks for your patience.

I'll get to you, but bear with me.

In general, I'm still moving through all this stuff... currently working to fulfill The Dog and David Wasilewski's order (at 10+ pounds weight, it's taking a while

As ever, thanks so much for your interest... and many thanks to those of you with whom I've already completed deals. Please let me know when your package arrives.

There are big holes in the posted inventory at this point  -- many thanks to those of you who have made purchases.

I'm in the throes of moving house right now. I'll try to update my inventory and continue clearing stuff out when  we settle in at the new place.
