Title: Chaos fleet advice
Post by: Muzzle on December 21, 2010, 09:36:24 PM
I am playing in an escalation league with some friends of mine, and could use some advice on how to flesh out my fleet.  The points values are 500, 750 and 1000.  Currently, I have taken a Devastation and a Carnage only @ 500 pts, leaving myself 130 pts extra for the next round.  My plan originally was to end up with 2 x Devastation, 1 Carnage, and 2 x Murder, (plus a 100 pt warmaster) at 1000.  Instead, I am thinking about getting another Devastation and Carnage, leaving 160 pts to play with.  The consensus seems to be that chaos escorts aren't worth the pts, but 2 x Devastation and 2 x Carnage seems awfully nice.  Alternatively, perhaps with the 160 I could buy some marks (I am playing a Nurgle theme).  Any ideas?  I am open to whatever, so don't feel the need to confine yourself to my ideas.

BTW, we are playing with the adepticon version of the FAQ.

Nobody?

As a sidebar, I find myself with more ships than bases.  Does anyone have any idea how to get more?  Or how to make them?

metal washers

ploink down one, fit and fix (glue) a circular piece of wood on top, drive a small diameter nail trougg the hole in the washer to stick out of the would. Fix ship on nail (use magnets ??)

additional benefits:  nice heavybase wich prohibits stuff tumbling down and the washers tend to be magnetic which helps for storage

Hmm, add acheron, hadn't considered that... Thanks Horizon!

Good idea on the washers Lex!  Do you, or does anyone happen to know the diameter of the small base?  (And the large base for that matter?)
