Hi. just wanted to show you some of my scratchbuild tyranid ships. I've been working on this fleet even before the BFG was released :P so you can tell it's a loooooong project. Then I had a break from the hobby but recently I returned to finish what I started. I hope to make some progress soon and definitivly finish the whole fleet in summer. It's a part of ongoing wish to re-create the Battle for Iyanden that I hope to finnaly fulfill.

These are really cool.
I know the making of a nid fleet is easy, but it would be nice to just pick one up.
It prevents me from getting into the game :(

Love the Krakens, they look so ... sturdy. ;D
BTW: The parts for the hiveship are what, something from the Alien franchise? They look somewhat familiar, but I just can't put the finger on it from where.

Thx! Actually there is merly one Epic mini used - the smaller titan, the rest is almost all 40k parts. As for the Hiveship the mouth should give you a hint ;) It's made from Hydralisk kit. It's actually some sort of rubber so I got no idea how it will respond to painting.

The big blue bug on the right in your group picture looks like one of the alien AA pieces from Starship Troopers. The ones launching huge balls of blue plasma into the air, taking out the human fleet. Is my guess right there?

Och that one i forgot about him! Yea you 're right that's the SST Plasma bug toy but I scrapped the idea of using him - he was kinda too big and dosen't looked to much "niddy". More like "Beetlee in space" :)

I think I spotted some epic Hierophant legs on the cruiser....

And where are the fighters from?

Thx, guys :) The fighters are from some spare parts i found in my bitz box but I made them like 10 years ago...really. So I must admit I have no clue where I obtained those.
