Title: The death knell?
Post by: Eddie Orlock on April 08, 2011, 12:14:44 AM
How does the rumoured end of metal model production by games workshop, and with it, most of the BFG line, impact the chances of the products of your last years labours ever seeing the light of day?

Is it the end of corporate support for the game, or only a temporary thing. It's not like it was anything more than a niche from a bygone era, but from a universe building perspective it was invaluable.

Also, what's up with the board index?

I actually think this could be a very good thing if production moves to resin as is rumored. It should help make it easier to convert and an assemble models as well as make them a bit lighter.

The issue I would see arising is if GW chooses not to make molds and sell resin models of the metals they currently have. And that could be quite likely. This sucks honestly....
