Hey folks... I noticed that Aeronautica Imperialis is not represented on this site, and if any game would fall under specialist games, It would be Aeronautica!
I love this game, and would love to discuss it to one and all, is it possible that a forum can be created?

Doesn't it fall under the forgeworld banner.
Cannot see it on the GW site although I know you can use Epic models for it.
Also can you download the ruleset for free?

I would agree that it should belong on this forum.
It's not a 'Specialist Game' in the GW definition of them, but neither are Space Hulk, Man O' War or Dark Future- which all have sections on this site.
It does fit into the overall site theme of 'Games GW has forgotten'
Of course I am just a member of the peanut gallery in this forum, but feel I may as well throw in my 2 cents.

I voted yes, even though I have no plans to get into the game. I don't think we should stand on ceremony on this. Zelnik's comment above swayed me - it is in the 'spirit' of SG. Just because it isn't officially a "specialist game" doesn't mean it isn't a good fit for this site. The more the merrier.
I just checked the FW site, and the rules are available there for a not-so-small price. I'm guessing that's what was meant.

No one standing on ceremony here, just wanted people to be clear.
I didn't think there had been much take up of the game from what I have read on other forums, but that shouldn't prevent it from being added here.
I also never said that we shouldn't create a forum for it, just wanted to have a discussion about it!
There a LOT of forgotten GW games out there that aren't represented here that have a larger following the AI or some of the SG games for that matter.
As for rule sets, I again wanted clarity, as copyright infringement causes sites to get shut down!

The game is simple to learn, easily meshed into epic and 40k, and is a huge amount of fun. Now that I am done with collecting BFG, aeronatucia is my next obsession, and i desire to geek about it!
The rulebook is pricey, but is slowly coming down, and EVERY craft has a model for it, aside from a variant of the phoenix.
The game is low-cost (especially for forgeworld) and the missions are exciting and fun.
Whats better is the game has self-limiting rules that prevent 6 hour games. Ammunition and fuel restrictions add a sense of urgency to the game.

Interesting idea. I really like the game. Let me discuss this with Lex.

After discussion, we have added a board for AI in the Games Archive section. Enjoy.
