Hello gentlemen.
I´m quite new to this game and have 2 question .
Henchmen that are upgraded to Heroes.
For example I have a Marienburger Bowmen that had earned already 4 experience points and got now upgraded to a heroe (when rolling on the gained experience tables) He got upgrade on ballistic skills and somewhere else.
Now I can upgrade this guy to an heroe as I still have one heroe slot free.
What will happen with the already earned experience points ?
Will the bowmen start at 0 experience points as hero or will he start with 4 experience points that he already got as normal henchmen ?
Hired swords ?
Do they count towards the limit of heroes ? I guess NO.
Do they have the same chart of Experience points they can earn as applied for heroes ?
Thx in advance for your clarifications to a Mordheim newbie ;)
Cheers
Claus

Hired swords gain experience like henchmen, but when they reach a level up, they roll on the heroes advancement table unlike henchmen.
If your henchmen gets "the lads got talent" advance he automatically becomes a heroe (if you have room for another one). He keeps his advancements he had before and starts with his 4 expirience points. Also he can choose 2 skill types that are available to your warbands heroes and can roll one dice on hero advancement table.

Hired Swords do not count towards your heroes. Reread the Hired Sword section as it spells out what table they roll for advancements.
guthwine...stated it correctly for henchmen and Lads got Talent and experience.
