Title: Is AI considered a specialist game?
Post by: Easy e on August 02, 2011, 08:00:31 PM
Aeronautica Imperialis is technically from Forgeworld, so how does it fit into the grand scheme of things?  Is it a Specialist Game or is it something else?

Thoughts?

In my view, anything that is not WHFB, WH40L or one of the Tolkein related games i.e. not one of the "main three" that you can get most of the stock for in the shops counts as specialist.

So yes, AI does count as a specialist game in my book

(watch it lose any support or updates and then probably disappear randomly from the GW catalogue at some point from the future)

It has a recent presence on this forum.

I view it as an adopted game. It doesnt say SG on the birth certificate, but it has been adandoned and has a place here as it has a dedicated player set and uses EA miniatures.  ;)

This.

I class Quest, MoW, Gorka and every other game GW has turned it's back on in a similar light.

I think the only game I don't class as Specialist is Talisman, and that's only because it's getting it's love direct from FFG.
