Does anyone know of a site/blog whre all the 10mm manufacterors are compared for scale, i know 10mm World http://10mmworld.com/ (http://10mmworld.com/) but would like to see miniatures form all the major companies lined up side by side for size comparison purposes.
If not is this something we could do? I dont have figures from all the companies but have quite a few which i could photo and upload here if people are interested.
So far i could state the following:
Games Workshop - excellent sculpts, and average height - drawbacks- expensive, availability problems, and only come in strips
Magister Militum - great sculps (not quite to GW standards) slightly taller and bulkier than most GW, good range of figures and reasonable price - beware that some of their dark ages range is of a different sculpt than their medieval range. ( i purchased some Carolingian Heavy Infantry - great sculpts, nicely proportioned but smaller than their medieval stuff, more in line with GW in scale)
TB Line- sculpts on a par with GW, reasonable price, but only a small range of miniatures
Pendraken - good sculpts, but smaller than most GW stuff, very cheap though
Kallistra - good sculpts, larger than most GW stuff, great range ideal for WMA
i cant find my few Irregular miniatures to compare at the moment and have not ordered any Old Glory stuff, can anyone else fill in the blanks?

I ordered a command pack of Dark Elves from Kallistra. The sculpts were okay, but they were too big compared to the GW 10mm range. Also, got to say the GW sculpts are far superior.
My mistake was i then ordered a 10mm dark elf command pack from Pendraken. They have no pictures on their site, so it was a gamble. When the pack arrived it was identical to the one i'd previously bought from Kallistra. I sent pendraken an email, they were very kind and let me send the figures back for a full refund.
I don't think this is the case with most of the pendraken range, maybe just some of the fantasy WM range?
I've also ordered a few pieces of scenery from Kallistra. Very pleased with the range, only thing is the resin they use reacts badly to GW black undercoat spray. It has a glossy finish that resists the paint. I've been told by a friend that washing the scenery in soapy water will solve it.

Yeah i had forgetten about Eureka and Sbarber, and Copplestone, but ive never purchased from them so no idea how they compare.
Hopefully this thread will answer all queries about the various ranges available and their compatibility witrh GW (who i agree are the best sculpts)
thanks for pointing out The baggage Trains site, i'd never heard of them but will be keeping an eye on their Medieval range as it (hopefully) expands, plus might be tempted by some of their scenary items

The Eureka Dwarves work well with the GW ones. Perhaps slightly larger, but no problems on the table top.
I don't have any copplestone; I know Dave on the forum does.

Copplestone seems good on scale. Nice miniatures in general, though the detailing is utilitarian: not much 'bling.'
Their orcs are very different from GW's: much more Tolkienesque, less comic relief.

OldGlory - a bit smaller than GW models, less variety, but very realistic.
Probably the best models for WMA and/or historically based WM armies as Empire, Brets, DoW (no Kislev substitutes and other eastern stuff excepting some Steppe People).
Lack of long spears and pikes - need to make it by yourself (or buy ready-made) and to drill a LOT of holes in small hands.

News from Adler Miniatures - they ahve just produced the first few figures of a 10mm Ancients range (Ancient Gauls).
They have some size comparison shots in the "news" section.
