Hey, guys!
Some of you may remember me from the Warmaster Yahoo Group - it's been a little while, but I am starting to blow the dust off of my Warmaster figures, have a few players (relatively) locally, and am even starting to see some payout from my 'grow your own' plan to create my own gaming opponents...
Anyway, I have been slowly repainting my Empire army, and figured I would join this forum to see what is happening in the Warmaster world these days, maybe even post a few photos, when I get the chance...

Hey Tristan, welcome back to the forum. Come January we'll have a battle between our "Caution: Wet Paint" armies.
-
Thanks, Dave!
It will be fun - though I cringe to think of all that infantry to be painted between now and then! :P

You could always start up the long neglected painters tale ;)
That certainly motivated me to paint a few armies.
I might even be tempted to paint one of my remaining 3, however I have about 100 points of warmachine stuff to paint :)
-
Hehehe... I have five different armies in various states of nakedness, so to speak! Not to mention all of the figures for other games, and terrain and concepts that I want to get started on! :o My problem is too many ideas, too little time and determination...

welcome to the forum mate
also, i think you shouldnt have too much trouble finding opponents... :P at least u live in england it seems :)
-
Well, sort of - New England to be precise! I live in Vermont, USA. 8)
As for finding players, I have always found that the best method is to make your own. Get two armies, get them painted and show people the miniatures and rules, and see if you can get people to give it a try. The visual impact of Warmaster games can not be underestimated, and lots of people are interested in the game once they see it being played!

Organizing an event works too !!! Next years EuroGT springs to mind ....... 8)

Hi Tristan! Glad to see you made it to the forums. I can loan you some Empire units if you need them.
How many players have you been able to recruit?
-
Hey! Thanks for that, though I should be able to get all of mine painted in time. I just have some crossbowmen to finish at this point...
I will probably have one new player for the January day - if he likes it, he may come back around. His name is Larry and he lives in Dover, so he will be right there where all of the action is. I have played a couple of games with my oldest son now, and he seems to be enjoying it, too. (He won't be there in January, though...) Oh, and my wife has agreed to try a game, but I'm not holding my breath on that one! 8)

Glad to see you resurface, Tristan. Don't forget that Greenfield MA is still an option as well.
-
OOOhhhhh...... a greenfield MA Warmaster event - that would be cool! Maybe we should try to organize it? It would be pretty centrally located for folks from CT, VT and NH. Not anything in competition with Ed's Warmaster days, maybe just in addition to...

Yes, please organize it! I will be there!
