Title: Warmaster Day in Greenfield, MA, USA
Post by: TristanHoag on January 26, 2012, 05:37:29 PM
Good day, fellow Specialist Gamers!

On Saturday March 10th, 2012, I will be hosting a Warmaster Gaming Day at Greenfield Games in Greenfield Massachusetts, USA.
The store opens at 10:00 am, and I hope to start as close to that time as possible!

Format will be open gaming, no tournament - I'm basing the day on Ed's low-pressure Warmaster days in New Hampshire.
Scenarios are optional - if you are likely to attend, let me know if you would prefer to play scenarios or regular games.

2,500 point armies, built with 2,000 point min/max, using the armies as described in the Warmaster Armies document available on the GW website.
(If you want to run an army not included there, we can probably make it happen, this is about having fun, not excluding anyone...)

I am hoping that we can give everyone a chance to get in two games - first starts as close as possible to 10, break for lunch, second begins when lunch is over.

Greenfield Games is located at the following address:
228 Main St., Greenfield, MA 01301     Phone: (413) 774-5225 or (866) 774-5223 (toll free)     http://greenfieldgames.com/

If you have any questions regarding the event, please feel free to ask in this thread, or to contact me via PM!

I'm out, that weekend is HAVOC.

Oh - I forgot about that!  I may change the date then - no need for competing Warmaster events...

I have changed the date to Saturday, March 10th - two weeks prior to HAVOC weekend. I was considering the 17th, but the store owner pointed out that it was St. Patrick's day, and I don't feel like trying to supply everyone with green beer!  I have edited it in the initial post, to (hopefully) avoid confusion!

I'm a "maybe" right now - that's a due-date for a conference paper I have to write. (freakin' conferences! why do I sign up for those?!?) I guess now I have motivation to get it done early.

2.5K regular games sound good to me, but I'd be up for scenarios too.

2.5 will be hard to swing, we'll see.

@ Dave and Ed: Do you have a preference between straight games and scenarios?

Either.  I can bring the scenario generator.

You and I have similar thoughts on scenarios so either works.

Hi, all;

Just a bump on this thread, to remind people that the event is this weekend. I look forward to seeing you and hopefully get a few fun games in!

I've been practising casting in resin.  I'm bringing a small gift for all that attend.

Don't say anything Tristan; I want it to be a surprise.

Ed, I'll bring the Lizardmen up for you. Any chance Gary has been able to find the HE Spearmen casualty counter?

I haven't talked to him lately, so I don't know the status on that.  Did you email him?

I didn't, no biggee though. I'll check in before the May game's day.
