Post by: Mr Grey on May 07, 2012, 11:47:32 AM
Well as the title says I'm starting BFG so I was wondering if you could go over my army list?

Tombship
3 Scythe
2 Shroud
4 Jackel
4 Dirge

Pts 1995

Hi & welcome,

have you derived a 1500 & 1000pts lists from the total? This since 1500 is a common point level for BFG matches.

Overall your list is good enough. Scythes are great, Shrouds less. A Tombship would complete it. ;)

 ;D

I overlooked the Tombship.

Anywhoo. All cool to me. Cleared for take-off!

Try to make uneven escort squadrons. It is better regarding victory point conditions.

That's a great list of ships. I would advise against the escorts in smaller games. From the games I have had, they have lost be the game because killing an escort squad (not so hard) in smaller games, handed my opponent tons of victory points. I would add in the escorts in 1500+ games, maybe 1000. Also, be really careful with your Shroud. I think their leadership bonus is great but they are pretty fragile. Be careful with them in smaller games. Ultimately, I would try to use mostly Scythes in 1000 and below.

On your 1000 p-list:

One squadron with scythe, scythe and shroud would protect the last one. Would also be very powerful. Escorts are good.
