Title: Dark Magenta and the Faction Sourcebooks
Post by: Kaled on April 21, 2009, 07:53:58 PM
Evening all,

As all dedicated Inquisitor fans will no doubt know, the fanzine Dark Magenta picked up where Fanatic Online left off in publishing excellent fan produced material for the game, but I'm just posting this in case anyone doesn't know about all the great fan-produced material that has been released while the Specialist Games forums were down.

The first three issues of Dark Magenta are available to download here;
http://www.darkmagenta.co.uk/

In addition, Dark Magenta has also continued the line of faction sourcebooks that started with Gav Thorpe's Thorian Sourcebook.  So far, the Recongregator and Istvaanian sourcebooks have been released, with the others expected to follow over the coming year.

Enjoy...

- Dave

Is it just me or does the link not work properly? I get an index page then when I click on the link it says forbidden.

Something wrong with site-map, tried to fix the link based on what I figured was download location, but that wont work either

Unfortunately the company that hosts both The Conclave and Dark Magenta was hit by hackers and so both sites are temporarily down.  People are working to restore them, but it may take a couple of weeks.

In the meantime, if anyone wants a copy of Dark Magenta or either of the faction sourcebooks, PM your e-mail address to me and I'll send you a copy.

Thanks, but it's not really my place to say - PrecinctOmega or Saussure would be the people to ask as they're on the staff of DM.

Love both works!  Good stuff.

I heard rumor the next one is about the Amalthians? Care to confirm?

Yep - Amalathians are next. The text is done and the layout is just waiting on a couple of bits of artwork but I'm hoping it'll be released soon.

I was just trying to visit the site and were told that bandwith limit was exceeded... is this just a temporary problem?

Should just be temporary - we had a huge amount of downloads of the briefing pack for the Inquisitor Grand Tournament over just a few days which pushed us to our bandwidth limit.

Were you looking for a particular article?  If so I can e-mail it to you.  Otherwise, if DM isn't back up soon we'll probably get someone to mirror the articles.

No, I wasn't looking for anything special. Thanks for the offer, though.

I am happy to mirror stuff here if it would help (no bandwidth limits).

Thanks for the offer, but I think the issue has now been sorted - normal service has resumed.
