Hi all
Space Wolves need ships to track their enemies - so here it is, my Battlefleet Gothic starter fleet.

If images don't work you can find all on my blog

Awesome to see some space puppy love! Is that a wolfs head on that grey knights strike cruiser?
Also you should add in The Pride of Fenris ad well (IIRC an Emperor BB). :)
-
I have Battle barge and another one Strike cruiser. They still in not primed.
I'm new to BFG what is IIRC ?Anyway I'm planning 1500 pts fleet and still haven't decided what to add
And yes I removed GK heraldry and added Wolf head on cruiser
-
IIRC= If I Remember Correctly. Nice conversion on that SC the head looks clean up there. The Pride of Fenris is a [urlhttp://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Retribution_Class_Battleship]Retribution which makes a darn decent Venerable Battle Barge (found in the end of the [urlhttp://tinyurl.com/23nul8q]FAQ2010.
-
Always great to see the best flavour of space marines get some love. ;-P
-
I had to make this small conversion - one aft armor shield was missing so I had to make new one

-
Is that a land speeder door ? :o I like it. ;) you can use it as a vanguard light cruiser(You can name it 'Claw of rus' or 'Stormwolf', this two ships are supposed to be that tipe :P)
-
It's speeder door + Venerable dread plating ;D
Anyway I'd like to see all cruisers a little different one from another.
-
Hi all
Now I have 20 Thunderhawks :D

-
The thunderhawks look sweet. :) Great job with the bases on those!
-
Thank you
-
Hurray! Gorgeous work on those thunderhawks!
-
That etched brass on the wings I see there? :)
Seriously, that stuff is like awesome when it comes to marine fleets.
-
Thank you - yes Battlebarge have some etchings from FW.
-
Those FW icons and brass are gold dust for smaller scales - I used them on my Epic rhino hatches.
-
I like them too bu I newer saw any Epic models myself :'(
-
Sorry, I didn't post a picture as I didn't want to get accused of threadjacking.
Here's the kind of thing I mean. I still only have these basecoated since the pic was taken, they're in my basecoated lead mountain!
-
Oh not at all
Nice - I didn't know that infantry are plastic.
-
Yeah, unfortunately, the infantry for Epic aren't much cheaper than the metals - and the sprues are the same as they were in the mid to late 90s. =-/
The Terminators, Scouts and special character blisters are metal, but just metal versions of the plastic models. The detail is abysmal compared with the better vehicles or Warmaster stands. =-P
The FW icons are SO fragile, I already lost part of one of the crossbones just spraying / hand painting them. =-<
-
In their books FW shows how to weather etchings without "painting" - but thats up to you
I used same etchings on some terminator models
http://spellscape.blogspot.com/2011/01/odin-wolf-guard.html (http://spellscape.blogspot.com/2011/01/odin-wolf-guard.html)
-
That's great! Those little rune plates are my favourites, I put them on my Sky Claws!
They're a pain to bend though - but they're what make the SW etch the best value for money of all the space marine stuff from FW.
-
I bend them by gluing one edge to the model and then using wooden stick to align - after that I glue it to the model completely

Forge World modeling masterclass book 1
-
I love that I can see pack markings on those ships!
-
Very impressive on this scale. Is each squadron going to have their own markings or are all four of these ships part of one squadron?
-
Thank you - yes I plan to make different markings for all wings/squadrons

My Cool-O-Meter just exploded.
-
Love seeing that forge world cruiser pressed into use for a proper chapter... ;-)
-
Those look amazing. I love a nicely painted SM fleet.
-
Thank you all ;D
-
Your Gothic stuff is top-notch. Damn! Now I want to get into THAT game!
-
Wow these are awesome. I love the way you mix the brown weathering with the blues. It gives a great effect. Also, great work with the GK cruiser.
-

-
Thank you
to be completely honest - I don't like what I paint after I finished it :'( :'( :'(
-
Dammit man, every time I finish building a Cool-o-meter you go and blow it to bits! Stop it! ;)
-
Hi all
Here I present you my flagship Battlebarge The Pride Of Fenris. Flagship of The Great Wolf Logan Grimnar.
For a first time in my life I can say that I finished painting any army. I just don't have ANY Space Marines Battlefleet Gothinc ship to paint. So it took me 2 months to paint it.
Now I want to paint something else and play few games with my Sky Warriors of Fenris battle fleet.
There are so many photos - I could only post 5 here , so if you want more photos please visit my blog

Spellscape,
Your fleet is amazing...as a Space Wolf player I'm just happy to see that glorious vessels!!!
The painting and conversion jobs are wonderful, even the bases are really nice.
I'm building a few Wolf ships at the same time that my other fleets, I'll post it soon. ;)
-
Thank you
-
Great work! Must feel good too, to say you have finished an "army" =)
-
Thank you
But with my last trades from my buddies I think it's only beginning :)
