This thread is for a 1000 Point online game.
My list:
Dark Elfs 1000 Pts.
General 155
4 Spearmen 240
2 Crossbowmen 150
2 Witch Elfs 140
2 Cold One Knights 260
Bolt Thrower 55
Here is a suggested Terrain setup:
And here is the Battle Chronicler save file for it: http://zendwarf.com/bc/wm/2/sazzel2.xml (http://zendwarf.com/bc/wm/2/sazzel2.xml)
Notes on the terrain:
The path is completely decorative.
The barrels next to the house are impassable and block line of site (one massive barrel pile, guess the person living in the house is a cooper).
The orange tree next to the house is decorative.
The rocky ground on the upper right has the command penalty but does not do anything to line of sight.
Now you should post your list, then roll off for both of us to see who chooses/gets sides. We will deploy secretly, the easiest way. One of us will sketch out on some paper our deployment, while the other puts their army in that battle chronicler file and deploys it. After the person deploying in battle chronicler is done, they will post their save file, then the person who sketched their deployment will take that file then put their army into the file and set it up there. Then we can roll off for first turn.
You might want me to be the one that sketches my deployment, then merges my deployment with your files. Probably easier for you.
Also, I defined one of my Spearmen units for you under my army info, so you can see how to best set up a unit (not brigade) for Warmaster in Battle Chronicler. Once you deploy that unit each base will be slightly separate, but you can easily move them into contact. This lets you move all three bases at once, move them individually if you want to, and saves computer resources (instead of when you make a separately deployed Battle Chronicler unit for each and every base).
On to you.

Wow, looks like you get to choose your side. Once you choose your side, let me know, then take my Battle Chronicler file and set up your units in it, including deploying them. I will record my positions during this time. Once you are done post your Battle Chronicler save file, and I will put my units in and post the resulting file, and then we can get started.
-
Try and add the uploads on the post in the forum too... will allow some more people to look how those (and the Chronicler) work !
-
I'll take the south end. I will set and deploy either Saturday or Sunday. My life got full after I told wife what I was doing.
-
Alright. What size are we making the units?
-
I tried to attache the file and the forum tells me I can't attach an xml file. I'll email it to you.
-
I will see if I can open the XML option on attachements (if Iain is ok with that )
-
Whoops! Weird, I was not getting notified of replies to this post even though I am set to get notified. Thanks for emailing Colonel Kane. I am starting to put it together now and will post the deployment tonight.
-
Ok! Below is an image of the deployment.
And the save file: http://zendwarf.com/bc/wm/2/Deployment.xml (http://zendwarf.com/bc/wm/2/Deployment.xml)
It looks like you need to rearrange your deployment a bit. Zoom in closer to the units, and you will see how I placed all my individual bases right next to each other. It does not do it automatically for you using these settings, but with these settings we can easily move individual stands to form special formations, as well as easily move an entire unit at once. When you are zoomed in enough to see the individual stands, you can select and move the whole unit at once by clicking on the pointy triangle at the front of the unit.
Also, you may want to re-position some of your units slightly to form brigades, or it will be too hard for you to command them all.
After you fix that, post an image (or email it to me and I will post it since I have my own server) so we can see that everything is all right, then I will let you take the first turn. Cheers!

Bah! Give me a sec, got the distances on the gridlines wrong, editing now...
-
Nice! Fixed above now :P
(Those are 20cm grid-lines by the way)
-
Hey thanks Sazzel. I will modify my deployment and repost. It might be as late as Monday evening before I post. You don't want to hear me whine' so let's just say the RL's killing me.
-
That's fine. I'm in no rush. :P

Email sent.

Took a look at your file, and the bases in your units are not in base-to-base contact. I have a couple pictures below to show you what I mean.
If you zoom in closer to your units in the file you sent me, you will see a picture like the following where none of the bases in a particular unit are in base-to-base contact with each other:
Now below I have rearranged your 4th Cobra unit to be legal, see how it is now different from the other units?
