Title: [WM] Basing - grass or turf?

I've got some high elves to get done tout suite, and I'm trying to get things properly planned and arranged so I don't faff about.  Not after this point, anyway.  One of the last things I have to decide on is basing material.
I want something fairly green to represent some kind of lush meadow and plains of Ulthuan (or to represent that the Asur are just, y'know, better than you).  I was going to go with bog-standard static grass, but I'm not sure if that'd look a bit too lush with 10mm minis.  I've also had a look at the mind-boggling range of stuff by Woodland Scenics, particularly their green turf.  Anyone have experience with it, for their Warmaster stands?

A great way to do bog is to base with regular gravel, color it earth colors and then green ink splotches all over the place. That's what I've done with mine. Then if you want you can add a little clump of grass tufts. Just remember to cut the tufts so they don't obscure the miniatures. Regular tufts are fine for this scale, just choose the smaller ones.

That's Woodland Scenics Blended Turf - Earth Blend. The fine turf is about twice as coarse, IIRC - I don't own any. The bushes are Woodland Scenics underbrush.

Ta SG. :)  It looks great, but a bit 'short' compared to the fanciful notions in my head.  I'll maybe stick with the static grass.

I use the Silfor grass tufts on my infantry, along with army painter course turf.

For mine I used sand painted green then added static grass in places
