Nice batrep, though I'm not sure I agree with the assessment of flaws at the end.

For a system that is command based like WMA, having a maximum number of units that can be ordered in a single command is natural, or armies would tend to move as a single block until it came time to engage. Capping the number of units in a brigade allows for historically representative opportunities like breaks in a battleline and the like.

It is true that charging is very important, but it is not an automatic win, particularly against Romans. On average, Legions should beat Britons in the first round of combat:

Romans (3*3[attacks])/2 + (3+3[Legion])[support]=10.5 combat res per unit
Britons (4*3[attacks])/2 * 2/3[armor] + 3[support]=7 combat res per unit

From there the Warband rule becomes a hinderence - Romans would get at least 4 attacks a stand in pursuit, while the Britons would get two.

That said, your perception and enjoyment as a group is more important than mine, so do what works for you. Thanks again for the report!
