After due consideration we are reopening this poll in a restylled set-up, as the essential point Asp is making is a valid one. So please go ahead and indicate which backstreets and alleys of Mordheim you lot visit !
The Mordheim online community is pretty small. And yet its participants are spread all over several fora:
- Warseer Mordheim Forum (http://"http://www.warseer.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=97")
- Tom's Boring Mordheim Forum (http://"http://boringmordheimforum.forumieren.com/forum.htm")
- this new, but largely inactive SG Games forum at tacticalwargames.
- and the slightly erratic Yahoo mailgroup, which is not realy a forum, but another community nevertheless
The advantages of having one large community, rather than several small, are obvious: If a community reaches a critical mass of users, more threads will be replied to, in quality as well as quantity, which again creates more incentive to post new threads. Furthermore, Mordheim is a game where any further development is left to the fans and which means that coherence in the community will make it easier to establish a universal consensus on rules disputes and quasi-official updates/fixes.
At the moment the Boring Mordheim forum seems by far the most active, and hosts both rules discussions and extensive galleries of models and terrain.
So I'd like to know: Why aren't you posting at the Boring Mordheim Forum? - Second: What advantages do you think the other forums have?
and we would like to know: is this community so "diversly" located, or are you simply all posting everywhere ??
Note that all marked text is added by your friendly admin !

I am not there, because I'm mainly interested in Warmaster, second in Mordheim. So I can have both here where all the Specialist Games gather.
-
I am on both. And also on the yahoo group, which is generally quiet but with occasional bouts of hyper activity. I check the warseer site once a week or so as well.
-
I am not a die-hard Mordheim player, but I once was, and like to keep tabs on things (and see some old friends posting every once in a while). As I started on Yahoo I am still checking in there every once in a while, and being admin on the old and the OLD-old Specialist Games forum, and now here make it logical to check in here.
One of the reasons we ported over the SG forums when GW ditched them, was because people like Rick and Andy actualy "came along" with us, as well as a lot of other players that where involved with rules development in the old set-up.
-
I am usually on TBMF most of the time, but always enjoyed watching the rules developing etc. going on on the SG forum (old). Hopefully, one day this will start over here again, too, as activity seems a little low at the moment.

I'd love to see one forum gather all the gamers for Specialist Games becouse usually, at least in my opinion, people play more than one SG game. I play most of them, some more often, some once a year but still I'd love to see us as a SG community not BFG lads and Epic boys etc. That's why I always prefered official SG forum. It's sad that this forum isn't as active as it was before :/
-
I'm on both TBMF and the SG forum (and occasionally read the Yahoo! email group) but I'm more of a lurker than a contributor. TBMF seems to be the main Mordheim forum these days simply because the SG forums took so long to come back.
-
I'm not even particularly active here, but before the old SG forums were shut down I was on the Mordheim boards there more often. I didn't even know about Tom's Boring Mordheim Forum, so maybe I'll head that way if that's where there's more activity.

I am on three Mordheim forums, TBMF, and am the MOD for Yahoo Mordheim forum and I am on this one.
All three are very unique and offer their own specialties on Mordheim.

Hi,
I'm on three Mordheim fora. This one, TBmf, and admin. of a (the only ?) french Mordheim forum.
