How many baccus 6mm strips do I need to fill a 4x2mm base and achieve a good look? To be more precise I'm planning on buying some ancients greek hoplites.
Do 2 rows (4 strips) of soldiers per base already look good when the whole unit is in column formation?
Do 4 rows (8 strips) fit on a base? This would be important for the kneeling and attacking strips.
Does baccus use 4x2mm bases on their pics? This would make things easier for me to figure out.
I didnt order any minis yet. So I am happy about any help so I know how many "blisters" I should order.

My Roman legions are in two ranks (four of the four-man strips) per base. I have dim recollection that one of my opponents stuck three ranks per base for his Napoleonic line troops. It really depends on the look you are going for. Barbarian warbands, for example, if you really felt like investing a lot of time, you could snip individuals off the strips and glue them all in an unformed hodge-podge.
EDIT: pics added for reference

2 rows looks good, and is what is supplied in the army sets. 4 rows is possible - the infantry strips are 20mm x 5mm.
Also remember you can buy by the unit on Baccus' website - go into the Ancients tab and scroll all the way to the bottom, then click on the MABSAWMA link (Massed Ancient Battles Such As WMA, if you're wondering). You can then order by the unit in 2, 3, or 4 ranks

Thank you guys for the help and the nice pics. You've just got to love the baccus 6mm with a great paintjob.
I think I will do the two row approach to finish the units faster although I would also like a deep phalanx. Maybe I will base the spartans with the leonidas upgrade in 3 or 4 rows to make them stand out.
@ spectrar ghost:
Great advice that you can order your unitsize by the gaming system. That really helps.
