Hi, how do people base their fighters/bombers/assault boats etc?
Do you use the epic style bases that come in the packs?
How many models per base?

For attack craft most of them Ive seen have been on the square epic sized or attached right onto the cardboard cutouts provided in the game box. Torpedoes the same way just with the epic strips instead of squares.
For the number its really upto your taste but usually what I see is 5 fighters, 4 bombers or assault boats, 2 thunderhawks, or 1 manta. Depending on what your using of course.

for me, i'm not really a fan of spending money on fighters/bombers models. I'm just using the cardboard tokens from the base set. (actually plasticard tokens, reprinted by myself)

Because the idea of great waves of fighters dueling it out appeals to me I fill them out completely. I'll also admit I had more money than sense when I bought my AC so YMMV. I'd use the excellent pdfs available on this site to print out on thick card stock if I'd have it to do again.

From FAQ 2010:
"Attack craft are represented by 20mm square markers. When used in a wave, they must be spread and moved so they are always in contact with each other, and they cannot be stacked."
I'm working on a way to have a cluster of 5 of so of the little fighters etc in the pack flying in formation per marker. Still working on how to do it though.

I base 2 models per 20mm squares

Right thanks for the replies, just played first game with the counters today. Think I will aim for 4 fighters, 3 Fighta Bombas, or 2 bombas or assault boats per 20mm square. Will get some plasticard and make it into squares.
