Let's say I have a brigade of four infantry units. I issue an order to the whole brigade to charge an enemy brigade. So I start to move one unit at the time. First two units are moved so, that they block the acces to enemy stands for the two remaining units from my brigade. My question is: can I move these two units to support the first two using the originally issued order? Or do I have to issue another one to move these units to support those two already in contact with enemy?
I hope it's comprehensible :-) Thanx.

As far as I understand it, you succeeded in ordering the brigade to move.

As far as who can charge and can't, it sounds like you did it correctly in that units are moved individually and into correct melee formation. The last two units can be moved into supporting positions behind or to the side (if movement allows) of the combat units but must also be touching each other to form a smaller brigade. In your example, the last two units that did not charge can move forward, provide support for the combat as long as they are touching each other at the end of the movement.

premeasuring is allowed. Line up that brigade 1.5 cm away or 2cm away and charge in coloumn.
Risk due to the negative modifers on the test; but 4 dwarf warriors in column is frightening to anything that isn't fast.

As far as who can charge and can't....
So as long as all four units remain touching at the end of the movement, they can move by a single order, no matter whether some of them are charging and some are not, right? That makes perfect sense to me.
Thanx a lot!

@Aldhick
The Charging units don´t have to touch each other nor do they have to touch the not charging units of the brigade.
Only the 2 remaining units of the brigade, that got the succesfull order, have to touch each other at the end of their movement. It does not matter if they support or whatever. Youd even could continue issuing orders on them if you want.

It is perfectly fine to have the units that can't engage directly move up in support, but you don't have to have all 4 units touching at the end just because you gave the order to a brigade.
The 2 charging units are basically exempt from the 'must remain touching fellow brigaded units' rule. They couldeven charge separate enemy units if they want. The two remaining units do have to finnish the phase touching each other though.
(Edit: Claus beat me to that)
I'm just pointing this out as it is a convenient tactic with brigades that contain shooting units- especially shooting cavalry (due to the speed). It's fine to have unis that can't (or don't want to) charge move to the side, and potentially shoot away the enemy's supporting units.

Yes, two unit charge, and the other two units move.
The two units that move can end wherever iin the movement radius (20cm if they are in regular formation). But they MUST end their movement touching each other.
If you decide they end their movement giving support is OK.

Thanx guys. Now I see it's clearly explained in the brigade section. I was too much focused on the paragraph in the combat section concerning charging from brigade.
