At my LGS (Dekalb), we now have 3 players, 1 returning player, and 1 starting new for a total of 5(!). Then they were saying how they already have another guy who wants to start, if not more, and they'll all be playing at the soon-to-be shop in Aurora at Kirk and Butterfield when not out by me on Thursdays.
The point is, LOTS of BFG players all of a sudden! Talk of a campaign was touched on, so if you're interested in probably more games than we can handle (likely not BFG:FE), you are informed.
So, area players:
Sycamore (New Game In Town)
Andrew (Seahawk)
Tom
Batavia (Draxtar Games, coming soon)
Hector
Tim
Brian
^ (these all go to NGIT as well)
Robert (lordgoober)
Near-west Suburbs (town name/local LGS?)
(Zelnik)
North-west Suburbs (town name/local LGS?)
Dan (afterimagedan)
Nolan (Noldawg)
1+ additional players
Near Pilsen/South side (local LGS?)
(FireSoCold)
Downtown Chicago (local LGS?)
Ernesto (RaptorEvolved)

Respect, Illinois! Man, that's a drive for me, but I may want to come check it out some time!
-
Aren't you south sideish? Yea, Aurora is a bit of a drive, but if you want more than one opponent...
-
I'm in the north-west suburbs. Luckily I do have more that one opponent.
-
Near-west suburbs chiming in. Aurora is not too far for me so long as the gaming is good and the people are cool. What days do you meet up for game?
-
Normally, Thursday nights in Dekalb. Nothing is set up at the new place though because, well, it's not open yet!
-
Do you have a star mat, or space table?
-
Sadly, no. Just terrain at the moment.
-
I'm in Geneva at this point. that being said, things may be getting VERY interesting in the coming months though I can't really say more at the moment as to not get someone in trouble.
-
Fear not for I have a star mat! So long as you have a 6x4 table we can play in style!
-
We have plenty of 6x4's here, in case you're ever interested. I'm betting they'll make at least one at the new place in Aurora; I'll make sure they do. :D
-
Hell, we could probably drag Ernesto back into the fold and maybe even make more of those masonite asteroid and gas cloud templates we worked on for the Adepticon terrain.
-
Hey dudes, I'm Nolan from Adepticon! I'm up for a drive every now and then to come game with you guys, and I promise that I'll only bring Necrons when I'm having a bad day!

Greetings Fleet Commanders of the Illinois Sector!
I'm an active gamer located in Chicago, South of the loop near Pilsen and I recently picked up an interest in BFG. I haven't purchased my models yet, but I'm looking at starting up an Imperial Navy fleet and a Tyranid Hive Fleet. Aurora and Dekalb are a little bit of a hike for me, but I've been known to travel farther for some good gaming. I'm available to play on weekends and, if nothing else, I'd like to cast my interest out there into the AEther in hopes of meeting like-minded, enthusiastic players in the area.
p.s. I also play Necromunda, but our local gaming club hasn't been active with that for about a year now. :(
-
well I'm from Chicago, and I do mean the city, pretty much go anywhere. I mightnot be able to say game alot over there but I can drop in a few times to play in campaigns and whatnot
-
Raptor! I'm still expecting an email from you!

Looking for an update.
Also are we playing normal bfg? I have an unconditional hate of mms and bfg:r
-
I will only play up to the 2010. BFG:FE is not for me until it becomes official rules.
Updated the top post with peeps and places.

Hmm... Northern Illinois area not unite?
-
Everybody but Dan unite with classic BFG. ;)
-
Awe come on Seahawk, you know me better than that. I am not against Classic BFG. In fact, you don't even play classic BFG, you play 2010 BFG.
Anyways, it's not very uniting to say you "have an unconditional hate of mms and bfg:r." That was my point. You have every right not to game with me if you don't want to. In fact, if I game with you again, I wouldn't even ask to use anything BFG:R related, though I would want to! :D

And like 2010 FAQ is anyway official? last I heard GW told us, in not so many words, to go get bent about getting that official. Not like any of us cared much about GW's opinions before this (and we certainly don't care at all now). Made me giggle a bit though ;)
-
Dude, it's all in good fun. Play whatever you want.
-
well for me I live in Chicago but if there is any LGS or me prolly be Games + or the Bunker Tim is still pretty cool with us. also if GW is abandoning it's game 2010 FAQ is still valid until we get all of BFG R down and official lets stay with that so as not to confuse everyone.

All good and true points! :D

But either way, we should game again. Any BFG is good with me.
