FW has confirmed that they will no longer be supporting AI going forward. The death of the other Specialist Games also impacted the AI ranges.
If it goes out of stock, it will not be replaced.

Which sucks. I was stationed in Japan and didn't really get to play 40k, let alone SG. So I didn't buy any more. Now I wish I had.

The official word from Forgeworld....
Roughly two years ago the Specialist Games range was up for review where we considered the state of repair of the master models that were used to cast the production versions of them. Unfortunately the majority of them were in a state of near dis-repair. We looked at the cost or remaking these masters compared to the amount of the models that were being bought and the decision was made to produce enough stock to last us for the next few years and leave it at that as the sales were quite low. We have now reached the point where this stock has been depleted, a situation that has been somewhat exacerbated by recent 'panic' buying.

official from where?
I mean yes I know that's the story I just hadn't seen an actual announcement from Nottingham anywhere, that's all :D

After emailing Forgeworld when thsi all started, that was the reply I received today from:
Forge World (UK) <forgeworld@gwplc.com>
Yeah, they were out of Service Level from the industry norm for Emails, but I have a feeling they needed time to create an official response template, and then work through the flood of order related questions too. Plus, the "panic" buying may have caused an increase in Email volume for orders, and non-order inquiries were probably lower priority for their small customer service staff.

Yeah, I got something similar in response to a "you really should recast the epic Tau range..." email. Fairly sensible response to a pretty dumb email I thought!
