Good evening,
today we´ve had a nice game between Chaos and the Tomb Kings. During this (later on lost) game happened the following situation:
I´ve charged with my Chaos Warriors a Undead Brigade. My Sorcerer - owner of the Ring of Magic - used his ring and performed the spell "Rage of Chaos".
1. My opponent thought about the option to use his dispel scroll.... So - if he had used it - would the Ring of Magic AND the Scroll are out of the game? Or - it is possible to use the Scroll, when one side uses something like the Ring of Magic? How does it work?
2. I was able to cast "Rage of Chaos" and made my first roll - I´ve got a SIX. As usual, I´ve tried to get more than that and made a second roll - it was a SIX too.
The rules say, these TWELVE attacks go down on my Chaos Warriors before the fight starts. Okay, understandable. Now the problem: My opponent says, the result of these attacks counts toward the battleresult of the first round. (I have lost with these twelve attacks seven hitpoints of my unit. I had to take one base, the second one was also nearly gone....) Was my opponent right? Do these results of the cast count TOWARDS the result of the first round?
I hope you can help me with both problems.
Greeting!

The effect of the spell is during the round of combat, so I understand they count for the result of the first round or the full combat phase in case of Chaos unit gaining the bonus attacks:
"The unit gains bonus Rage of Chaos attacks for the following combat phase"
[...]
"Rage of Chaos attacks that rebound in this way are struck only once in the first round of combat: they are not struck each round"
Remember your dead Chaos Warriors (because of the spell) are able to attack too (the hits are taken during the Combat, not before)

Scroll can deny a successful cast.
Wounds caused count in the first round, similar to S&S.

Wounds caused count in the first round, similar to S&S.
Yes is very similar, but not 100% the same: S&S is resolved before the combat. If a stand is removed by arrows before reaching the enemy it does not attack. This is spell is during the combat.

Effect as in: all hits established count for Combat Resolution in 1st round of combat.
And actually, the spell is cast as part of Shooting/magic.... and carries over into combat

Thanks so far, to top it the final question about "working on fight-results":
The Troll ability to reduce losses of hitpoints (as far as the stand is not already out of the game...) - does this ability Change the result of the fight too? Or does it just bolster the remaining hitpoints of surviving trolls?
Greetings!

It just bolsters remaining hit points but has no effect to the combat result

So - this is also clear now. Thanks to all of you - the topic can get closed. (Do I have to do it? It is up to others?)
