Title: Warmaster Playtest Weekend
Post by: Lex on July 17, 2013, 01:37:47 PM
OK, all things are set in motion! for the weekend of 2/3 november 2013

1st off, the venue I have got an option on is a  cozy little hotel/restaurant (http://www.hoteleetcafevanee.nl/) in the center of historical Bergen op Zoom. Cozy is the operative word, as they only have 5 rooms, so consider sharing a room (which will also cut-down on cost!). Rumour has it that this historical venue is haunted, so any undead or vampire count players could find themselves with unexpected assets.....  For those that visited Bergen op Zoom before (for a EuroGT event) and had a meal at the Mexican place..... this is next door on the small square near the Markiezenhof. (https://www.google.com/maps/preview#!data=!1m8!1m3!1d3!2d4.284705!3d51.495718!2m2!1f222.23!2f82.96!4f75!2m5!1e1!2m3!1sGu8ZXspSMZbYh8juTbcxaA!2e0!7e11&fid=5)

Roomrates:

single use, per night, including tourist tax and VAT:         â‚¬66,50
double use, per ROOM, including tourist tax and VAT:      €92,00

Food(s):

Breakfast, per person                                                        €9,95

We will have a saturdaynight buffet style dinner (and having eaten there several times now I can honestly say, food is good!, which of course will also be open to all players, so please register for that even if you are "attending" and not "residential"                                      €18,80

When I have a better grasp of numbers attending I will see if we actually break for lunch, or allow you lot to eat-and-play.

For those players that will not, or can not stay residential there is the option to "attend" the event, you will still need to register!  and tell us if you stay for the saterdaynight buffet! Attending players will pay a "table-fee" of €5 per day. The venue will be open to the general public, so those that wanna drop in and say hello, feel free to do so !

Should the rooms at vanEE fill up, I will scourge the town for other sleeping arrangements........

Registrations should go to lex.van.rooy@gmail.com, with the subject mentioning Warmaster Weekend. After registering I will contact individuals on (methods of) payment.

I will need registration as soon as possible!!!, to be able to book the option (and get a 10% discount that will flow back towards your actual cost!

Hey Lex, thanks for your effort organizing all of this!

On which days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) should we book the rooms? When does the gaming start and when is it going to end?

Hey Toon,

Rooms you can book via me! Dont confuse the hotel-staff  8)
The intention is to have our games on saterday and sunday, with a possible start on friday evening, depending on arrival times of attendees!

So depending on where you are comming from and when you need to drive back.....   we WILL get the discount if we fill up the rooms for fridaynight and saterdaynight, but once we have that it should extend to additional night.

At earlier EuroGT events we would have guests comming in as early as wednesday, and spend some time around Bergen op Zoom, and internationals leaving on monday (to catch their trains/planes)

As stated earlier, games during the day on saterday and sunday, a group-dinner on saterday with gaming options after dinner (and to stick with the social format, those are not restricted to Warmaster)

A quick update and a little push for those still thinking on coming over....

we have already filled half the slots for the event, and are crunching down on the rooms! And I might be able to swing some extra accommodation, but our playing venue is limited in useable space! So dont wait to long if you want to come and participate in the (first, and maybe not last) Warmaster Playtest Weekend!

I'd like to come over, but just for a day! :)
You are more then welcome to do so...   if you just want to wander over, look at the games and have a chat and a drink, just walk in and join us. Should you come over on Saterday, and decide to share the evening meal with us, you will have to let me know (I need the number of people eating dinner at the latest the weekend BEFORE the event).
For those players that just want to come over for one day and play, I need to know the day (for setting up tables etc), the armie(s) you want to play and you need to be aware that there is a small (€5) table fee.

Feel free to contact me here or in direct mail!

BlackEd, David Susco + non-playing GF, Toon and GF (who is both painting and playing) (Belgium), Alex Janeway & EmpireAddict (UK) bringing Adrian the Canadian (whom we assume IS a Canadian), Heiko & Olliver (Germany). Claus is still a maybe (waiting for confirmation) (Austrian) and in the early stages Getlord (Poland) voiced interesse too. As did Martin and Leslie (UK).

There are also several people keen on looking in on proceedings (and I aim to have several webcams up if we can swing that).

In addition to Jo there are several dutch and maybe belgian players that indicated they come in on one of the days and I have local support from Michel and Roel (my youngest spawn). We should be 12-18 players, and there is enough fresh faces to avoid "the general suspects" to find each other opposite the table (unless anyone needs a grudge match set up.....)

Hi Lex,

Will come, too. Do You have still a room within the Hotel?

Cheers,
Jurisch

Hey Jurish,

just back from holiday, I will need to run inventory and check, but I think we were already using all the rooms. However, I can see if there are other options available?! Are you coming alone ?

Lex
