My group have been buyin the Renedra plastic ones and found them to be brilliant - I've not tried these ones myself, but 48 bases for £4 is pretty darn cheap - I'd love to see some in RL.

Yeah. Get Renedra instead. I bought some of their 40mm x20mm bases. They are EXACTLY the same size as Warmaster bases, in all three dimensions. The only differences are the color (green) and they are perfectly flat on both sides, I.e., there is no recessed bit with "Games Workshop 1999" on one side, which is actually a nice improvement.

I picked some of what I linked to (1.5mm thick) up. I'm happy with them. They're laser cut, so there's a slight angle to the edges (less than the WM ones though). On thickness, they're comparable to WM. Also, there's a slight lip (1/10mm maybe) on the top (again, I'm assuming because they're cut). I'm thinking that that might prove useful when basing with sand.
