Ok, I know the idea is to post events before they happen. Since I didn't do that, I'm posting an after action report.
I attended DragonCon in Atlanta, Georgia, USA over the Labor Day weekend (8/30 through 9/2). I demo'ed Warmaster using the Samurai and Daemon armies. I ran Warmaster in two time slots: Saturday 6-10pm and Sunday 6-10pm.
On Saturday night I started with no players but within an hour had 3-4 people playing. I was able to run two battles at 1000 pts on Saturday. On Sunday, I ran 3 battles at 1000 pts. The last player I had was completely new to miniatures games but really liked the rules. I also gave away a copy of the first edition of the rules to another new player in hopes he would his friends involved.
Which reminds me: On Sunday As I was packing up, two of the players from Saturday showed up to let their girlfriends see the miniatures that I painted. It was great! I love having an appreciative audience for my work.
In the end, I met 7-10 people interested in playing Warmaster. Over this past weekend, I sent out email to 7 people with links to this website. I hope that some of those people will join this site and get even more excited by Warmaster. Unfortunately, two of the email addresses don't work. I'm not sure why.
I plan to run Warmaster again at DragonCon next year. Hopefully I can help get a crowd of Atlanta players together and playing.

a pitty, if you advert before the event could be included in WM digest, and maybe attract more visitors :)
Anyway, Congrat for the event, and that success with new players of warmaster.
Do you have any pic, I really love seeing your armies in action BlackEd!
