That is pretty interesting! for lovers of tolkien I guess.
Also they could work great as Chaos warriors!
-
Wow, these are awesome! I immediately contacted the seller, I might like to have a few of those!
-
Great catch! Two units were ordered immediately.
-
Amazing, they would do as Araby mercenaries, too!
-
Arab mercenary, cool!
It will fit as well in oriental lists.
-
I ordered two as well! :D
Maybe we could come up with fun rules for them as mercenaries?
Maybe something like:
3/3/5+ 80 pts - Terrifying?
-
3/3/5 seems ok, but terror is serious thing in warmaster. Maybe I will reserve it for huge monsters or super-hero.s
-
Nice to know about a new 10mm manufacturer 8)

Indeed. What else might he produce?!

True of course. What else could we do to the unit to make them a bit more special than all the others?
-
These do look good, keen to see any photos in comparison with GW figures
-
Perhaps they would also be a good proxy for Temple Guard for Araby as they are so distinct.

Temple guard for araby? can you explain it better.
(sorry for the edition of your message, it was a mistake)
-
Sorry, I meant Royal Guard - the ones that don't get a penalty if the General commands them.

I'll get that fixed for you when mine get here. :)
-
That would be great!
Just spent rather a lot on eBay - so am hesitating on getting these on spec, as they are a little on the expensive side.

Review posted (http://diceatdawn.blogspot.se/2013/10/review-evil-men-of-east-by-tajima1.html) and to answer your question:

From the left: Copplestone Horse Tribe infantry, Tajima1 Evil Men, GW Empire Command, GW Undead Skeletons
-
Mmmm.. The evil men could be easily converted to Early Imperial Romans with those square shields...
Thanks for the comparison pic
-
No problem.
One of these days I need to get a macro lens or better.
-
Thanks for the photos and the review.
One question - do the look similar in size to WM figures? As models are 3D it can sometimes be hard to tell from a pho if they match in when you are looking at the real figures. These certainly do from the front on shots.
Edmund - why would you want to convert to Romans, there are lots of 10mm Romans out there.
-
I'd say they match Copplestone spot on which I perceive as slightly bigger than GW. I've never had a problem with fielding Copplestone and GW in the same army.
-
Good news.
The GW figures don't exactly match each other when you put them side by side - but look fine in when in units on the table.
-
Exactly. The Bretonnians e.g. are of a quite diminutive build. Must be all that praying to the lady and fasting I guess.
-
It is just an idea. I would not build a roman army from these, but maybe for a specific pose or figure.

Thanks for the review!
I ordered two sets last week, can't wait to paint them up! I hope there will be more of this in the future. :)
-
A comparison pic. The pack comes with 6 strips (5 different strips variants), but some figures are re-used in the strips.

Thanks Edmund!
They look brilliant - I've had trouble getting people excited for LOTR 10mm though.
-
Looking the picture, they are tall, but will be OK for me
