I play a lot of Starcraft 2 and offer one oop warmaster blister (you can choose which one (note that I dont own all of them)) to the person that beats me ;)
Another game I love is Shogun 2. It's so cool and very close to warmaster in many ways. Also, how can you not like samurai? They are just awesome!

This mod used to be DOOM 3 reliant but is now standalone and is an absolutely "must-download"! A wonderful love letter to the Thief games, with lots of very varied fan made missions.

I am a fan of Total war Saga. My last campaing was Call of Warhammer, Rage of Dark gods. I was playing with Ostenmark, and was really awesome. Unfortunatly my computer does not support Shogun 2, so I can not play it.

PC : War Thunder or retro adventure games ( aka Monkey Island 2)
Nexus7: real racing 3, super soccer champs, online soccer manager
Wii: whatever son asks me to play with him (mario bros, galaxy, kart, skylanders)

Kicking barbarian behinds as Macedon in Rome 2 TW currently. Really taking time from the hobby. I've completed two campaigns in the game so far: British and Carthaginians.

Man I bought Starcraft 2 full price but only got half way through the campaign with it. Too intimidated to even try multiplayer!
Rome 2 looks lovely - I bought the Empire ones and barely played them, never mind Shogun 2! D=

Which is a bit obtuse but brilliant and weirdly addictive, one of the few indie games where the "low fi" graphics add to it rather than hinder it.

Thought I'd revist this as the Steam Sale is back on for Winter!
A friend just bought me Frozen Synapse and that is a really tense tactical game, very difficult to Master. Quite like playing Infinity.
I'm playing Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs and though I am enjoying it, I despair at the game design choices in it. None of the amazing diary entries are narrated - there's no sense of exploration and the puzzle solving so far is... slender.
I got Slender: The Arrival for cheap on an indie bundle and I'm sorry to say it still feels like a freebie Unity game. Still a nice, scary experience but I need to play more to get an opinion on it.
Twisted Shadow Planet: Got this with Slender in the deal - it's like a mixture of Loco Roco with a bit of World of Goo in the dark style, but the gameplay is like a simplified Metroid so far. Something that might play better as a zone out game on the TV.
Outlast: Amazing that such a small studio made this horror game - again, a bit frustrating but a lot to recommend.

Helping son out out with Luig's Mansion 2 on the 3ds. Pretty cool game. Has an adventure game vibe to it which I like. A lot.

If it wasn't so expensive I'd definitely be getting a 3DS and a Vita and playing some of the amazing new hand held games. My first system was a Sega Game Gear so I have a soft spot for the GBA/DS/PSP.
Just finished Papers, Please, FINALLY. There's lots of bad endings and only a couple of good endings. I got one of the good endings, hurrah!

Does anyone here have any suggestions for good Amnesia mods?
I absolutely loved the base game and the sequel "A Machine for Pigs". The best mod by miles is "The Great Work" which has so much good work in it it is better than the original Amnesia I might say - apart from a couple of bugs. I also enjoyed "White Night" which starts off brilliantly and then turns to mushy Silent Hill fan service nonsense at the end.

I've just got a new computer and so can play StarCraft II and Diabolo III.
Holding off on Total War Rome II until they bring out a 'Gold' version as I hear there are many issues and around a dozen patches already!

Starcraft 2 is a great game. Let me know if you ever want to play some games online.
I bought Rome 2 the moment it was released and was really dissapointed with it. There were so many bugs and the game looked so ugly. I really love the total war series and would suggest to get shogun 2 instead of rome. It is really cool and you can get it for like 5 euros.

Recently acquired Hammerwatch and Dead Man's Draw on Steam.
The former is a classic pixelly top-down dungeon crawler hacky-slashy game, the latter a simple card game of much amusement.
Also finally started playing CounterStrike: Global Offensive, now that I have a computer that'll run it. Also recently started playing some World of Warplanes, though it's a little meh because the hangar screen forces max graphics settings, which my computer won't do.

Rome 2 is awful. I feel so ripped off. I'm one of the suckers who preordered it.
I strongly recommend wargame airland battle. Amazing, amazing game, wargame red dragon is coming out soon too.
It's a modern day tactical battle game with no base building. Stellar....

Has anyone here played Banished? It's a medieval city-builder. Supposedly good, but as I'm about to sink a large sum of money into a new computer, I'd prefer to wait and see if anyone I know can recommend it.

I recently got into Dominions 4. Also holding off on Rome2 TW until a Gold/GotY edition. Not specifically for reasons of bugginess (although that's definately a factor) but because I learned long ago that the TW series will spend a year or two releasing expansions and then bundle them all together, saving me much time and effort if I just wait for the Gold edition.

anyone here play starmade?
i've been playing it quite alot recently and its rather.....absorbing (need more thrust, which means more engines, which in turn require more power, this increases mass meaning you need more engines grrrr damm you physics)

The first computer games I played were Solitaire and Minecraft - and it has been an upward journey ever since. Some of the games I really enjoy playing now are: Hearthstone - a digital strategy card game wherein players need to choose one of nine epic Warcraft heroes to play as; TF2 (Team Fortress 2) - this first person shooter multiplayer game needs no introduction I guess; these pet games (http://www.neopets.com/games/pet/) which are my son's favorite too, where players can create accounts, own virtual pets as well as buy virtual items for them using one of two virtual currencies, which needs to be earned; then there's Dota 2 where the best part is that every hero is available for free for all players. I also enjoy playing games like Temple Run as well as Angry Birds.

Last months I have played a lot of Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U. Excellent game. Online racing is really cool. Since Christmas son got Smash Bros Wii U which is also a great game. And now lately spending time on Captain Toad. Fun game, not as brilliant as Mario Galaxy was but still nifty fun and slick looking.
Yup, Nintendo knows how to make games. :)

I never played Doom 1 and 2 when they came out, only the shareware demos. With this I've been able to play them with the GZDoom fork with great graphics, music and mouselook and it's been tonnes of fun.

But apart from that - Darkest Dungeon is a nice dungeon crawler that explores the mental challenges that any explorers have to deal with when facing undead and chtulhuesque monster in badly lit series of dank rooms ;) Still in early access but very polished even now.
Frozen Cortex - For those of you who like Blood Bowl and want to try something else but still somewhat the same :)
Evolve - 4 hunters with specific roles trying to hunt down and kill a huge monster before it grows strong enough to become the hunter. This game demands 3 other friends for maximum amount of fun when playing hunters. So much fun teamwork trying to find and put the monster down! It's also a blast to play as the monster trying to outsmart and outmanouver the hunters until you have grown big enough to overpower them!

Last months have completely been dominated by the excellent Splatoon. And for the more relaxed gaming moments Yoshi's Woolly World did the job, again a great platform game.

I just read through this, I have not played any "new" game since the first warhammer 40k came out. Built a new BA computer for it back then and had lots of hours playing online. Now I stick to my specialized selection of Nintendo and super Nintendo console games. Nothing beats a party on the couch with the friends and the cords going all over the place LOL
the Contra series makes for some fun drinking games. Everytime you die you take a shot.
my kid can actually complete a race on excitebike and he gets really excited when he makes him do a wheely.
I look forward to the day I can go out to Best Buy and bring home a gigantic tv, surround sound system and the latest console for him and surprise him when he comes home from school with it in his play room.

I've been playing Starcraft II again, as it was on half price for the first two chapters.
It's a gorgeous game with lots of nice ideas but I still can't wrap my head around multiplayer.

Splatoon still being played but the main game at the moment is Super Mario Maker. Excellent thing Nintendo made there.

just got the BFG: armada game on steam
enjoying it so far, they've done a good job of making the factions work similar to table top and from what I've read/seen/played of the campaign so far, it looks like it will be a good one. Limited number of ships available atm as it seems to be literally the original rule book with one or two extras (for example the heretic light cruiser for chaos). I'm hoping that when it's fully released there will be mods adding more ships into the game.
Only complaint is that the Eldar are way overpowered, in that the pulsars tend to one shot kill things and have no chance of missing, so on multiplayer people are spamming the frigate equipped with it. Hopefully there will be some balancing in the next patch
