As many know, High Elf spearheads snap like the matchsticks of the faerie folk. Needless to say, my forces are beginning to look a little rag-tag.
Any advice or ideas on how to deal with this? I'd been considering trying to shape the remaining staffs into something slightly bladed or somehow disguising them as really long-handled maces that are being held upside down. For the still intact ones, I'm likely going to clip them off short and hope the remainder is strong enough. What's worked for other people to save/repair High Elf spears?

If someone came up with a viable solution for this it would quite possibly be the BEST article on warmaster ever.
I have a lot of spearmen and I get the same problem.
Where were the Quality Assurance team the day those models got previewed ???
Swordmasters and Phoenix guard are much more resilient models just a shame they are so rare and expensive these days :(

What's worse is that plastic High Elves would be greatly more durable...
Ah well. I'll try trimming the spears and see how that works. :) At least there may be a preventative measure.

i may have an idea or two...can u post a pic what they look like ( a close up one and one actual size)?

Well, after a month, I finally got back to my Warmaster stuff. Took some High Elves, and took some old nail clippers to their spears, in an attempt to make them more durable.
Worked pretty well, IMO (though fixing the broken ones is still tricky - I'm thinking of gluing the extra spearheads on to the shafts). The remainder's fairly tough and much harder to bend. Also looks a little less silly, which is a plus. They now look like some kind of halberd. :)
Hopefully tomorrow I'll get the primer out and actually paint up a few units of my High Elves. I'll also post some pictures of just what I did.

Looking forward to detailed instructions and pictures.
If this is a winner, you should patent the idea.

Any updates on this?
I have 12 units awaiting my attention ;)

Fairly good luck with flat head pins and hands filed flat.
Also, baking soda is a very good way to augment the bonding capability of superglues: though I havent tried this on elf spears.
