Hello
I am transferring my "forum home" to this fun place in anticipation of some Warmaster painting. I am a relative newcomer to the forum, having lurked in the shadow for many years. In the past I contributed a bit to the TacComs sister forum by documenting my progress on different Epic armies:
Eldar ToEG 2012 http://taccmd.tacticalwargames.net/viewtopic.php?f=119&t=22752 (http://taccmd.tacticalwargames.net/viewtopic.php?f=119&t=22752)
Squat ToEG 2011 http://taccmd.tacticalwargames.net/viewtopic.php?f=119&t=20775 (http://taccmd.tacticalwargames.net/viewtopic.php?f=119&t=20775)
Necron ToEG 2011 http://taccmd.tacticalwargames.net/viewtopic.php?f=119&t=21771 (http://taccmd.tacticalwargames.net/viewtopic.php?f=119&t=21771)
Chaos ToEG 2010 http://taccmd.tacticalwargames.net/viewtopic.php?f=119&t=18817 (http://taccmd.tacticalwargames.net/viewtopic.php?f=119&t=18817)
I have been painting miniatures for over two decades now and cover just about everything in the Games Workshop universe, as well as forays into historical systems such as Flames of War and DBA. You can find some of my armies and projects on my blog: http://wargamingworkshop.wordpress.com/ (http://wargamingworkshop.wordpress.com/)
After a long time in the world of 6mm Epic armies, I decided last year to start a large 28mm project: a full 250 model Blood Angels army (using airbrushing for the first time). It has been a few years since I last painted a large 28mm army so I made the mistake of porting my successful "assembly line" approach from 6mm to 28mm. A year later, with ~200 models about 80% done - but nothing at all truly finished (and thus no pics at all on the blog/forum) - painting morale is at an all time low. Bad mistake.
In an effort to restore morale, I am not turning back to smaller scales. Epic is tricky because I only have two armies left to paint (Adeptus Mechanics and Tyranid) and the new restrictions at TacComs regarding "proxy models" means that I wouldn't be able to post most of the images. Not a great start for a morale therapy. So it is back to the Warmaster scale (and thus this forum).
When the game came out I bought the six core armies and painted five of them (all except High Elves). With GW killing the line, I made some last minute purchases last month to get (almost) everything I need for all the other armies in the Warhammer universe. This post will document my progress as I grind through the lead mountain to spawn losts of little Warmaster forces.
I am more of a painter than player, so the goal for each army is to make a playable 2k force with "some of everything" to capture the "spirit" of each race. I am also throwing in a few Lord of the Rings forces (for Warmaster War of the Ring/Battle of Five Armies).
cheers
Helge

Welcome Helge,
I glance to your webpage.. and wow your painting level is really high.
looking forward to see your warmaster "old 5 armies" and the new ones :)
-
So here we go with the "work order". I am trying to replicate the entire Warhammer Universe in 10mm, plus some of the more known elements of Tolkien's Lord of the Rings world for good measure.
Green is completed, orange is ready for painting, red still needs to be purchased or converted. As in my past progress logs, I will update colours as I go along - hopefully this page will be all green eventually.

Lots to do... I will start by cleaning up the small remaining items in the 5 "completed" armies (mostly just one unit missing to make the full count). After that I will do some Wood Elves as I haven't painted green in a while.
-
Awesome, I'll be watching this space.
-
Good luck to find was is missing... :)
-
Good point Marell. The Chaos Dwarves and Beastmen will come from Eureka so that's easy. Kislev will need some more luck. Beyond that it's bits and bobs (1 Slann, 2 Saurus, 1 Plague Monks, 1 Stormvermins). I hope that they will eventually show up on ebay (or here!).
-
Lovely painting - welcome to the Forum.
Dave
-
Oh this will be magnificent!
Please tell me what models you will use for th e Warmaster LOTR/Tolkien forces! You will notice I've made several topics discussing the matter, lately in the BOFA area of the forum. :-X
-
Alright, first successful session. I finished some Board Riders, a Rock Lobber, Imperial Mortars and a unit of Chaos Hounds. Odd assortment but that's what was missing to complete the Orc and Chaos force. Photography will have to wait until the weekend - need to unpack the light box again.
-
Hello Helge!
Nice paintjob on those armies!
And "nice goal" with the rest. :)
I may have some spare Chaos Harpies, if you are interested.
Those Nurgle Daemons, the Epic ones, I guess that you aren´t interested in parting from them? ;)
Off-topic, swede? (Helge is a swedish name, therefore the question)
Best regards /ola
-
Ahh yeah, another forum you can put my skills to shame in :D Welcome to Warhamster! ;)
-
You have really great armies Helge. Thanks for sharing the pictures with us.
Ahh yeah, another forum you can put my skills to shame in :D Welcome to Warhamster! ;)
Arn't you the one with a great skaven army, Dobbsy? It's kinda hard to put your skills to shame ;)
-
LOL! Yeah but Helge is prolific AND good! ;D
-
So the weekend was a frenzy of cleaning, gluing and spraying lots of 10mm armies. I did squeeze in some time to actually paint a few models - you can guess what it is on the blurry picture from my "back up camera" (ancient camcorder). I order a few more lamps on ebay for the photo booth - coming tomorrow - to accommodate the small scale. Nicer pics of the first painted batch will be up in the next few days. Sorry for the delays, those who followed my EPIC plogs know that this tends to pick up speed once the "planning/assembly/coating" prep stages are done.
-
And in case anybody cares, this is what five WM armies look like in "ready to paint" assembly mode. Top: Vampire Counts & Bretonnia
Middle: High Elves & Lizardmen
Bottom: Dark Elves (Skaven are still missing a bunch of models so not yet put onto strips)
-
Exciting!
-
I went to quickly check out your Epic stuff and lost most of the night to being in a trance............. I really can't say anything that hasn't already been said. Most excellent on so many levels. Creative, precise, great choice of colors the only thing I'd knock you on is you did not represent me Orks! It's good that they are on the internet as those models should live forever!
-
Thanks Gun_Wun, but the Orks are actually there (http://wargamingworkshop.wordpress.com/games-armies/epic-armageddon/epicorks/). It's just their ToEG thread that got wiped out by a forum redesign at some point. Right now, I only have two armies left in the Epic universe to complete: Tyranids and Titans/AdMech/Knights. I guess Tau are missing too, but I hate that pseudo-manga newcomer to the 40k canon :).
My LotR models arrived today. This is what "four of everything" of the Copplestone minis looks like :). Now I actually have to paint all that stuff...
-
I love the CC stuff. It looks good even in your pile of bags, can't wait to see you paint them.
-
That is seriously awesome! I have been wanting to do some ME armies for awhile now.
-
*Desire to see more intensifies*
-
Alright, I am finally set up and good to go. Everything is de-flashed, glued down and undercoated. Time to paint.
My first (self-assigned) task was to clean up the models for the existing armies that never really got down. During this process, I also discovered that my Dwarves are short quite a few points to hit 2000 points. So a few more units were ordered for them and, because the old paint job sucked, some Troll Slayers were thrown into the stripping fluid. I guess I like making my life difficult...
But here we go with the reinforcements:
The Tomb Scorpions are some soft plastic models that I bought opportunistically from Reaper when I ordered some other stuff. The models are photographed with their historical existing forces (2002 paint job). If you can't spot the new additions then I did a decent job blending in to the old paint job despite new paints/washes.
-
9 unit, that is pretty awesome. And the paint is excellent. Good job, thanks for sharing
-
Nice stuff there!
-
Really great work!
I had my eye on the new Reaper Bones miniatures as they have some excellent spiders to use as Shelob and Mirkwood Spiders for 10mm Tolkien.
-
That's actually exactly what I bought at Reaper. The soft plastic models are a bit soft and rubbery, but ok overall. The bigger problem is the size. I bought all three types and none of them really fit:
Big Spider: Way too big for Shelob or any kind of Warmaster base. It's maybe 6cm by 6cm. With some bending of legs it might fit onto a 40mmx60mm base like a Stegadon but even that's pushing it. I don't think I will use this one, or maybe turn it into a Giant Spider with howdah for the Goblins (matching the new Warhammer model).
Medium Spiders: These are about the right size for Shelob, but just too big to fit onto a 20x40mm Warmaster base (too wide). I bought six, hoping to make them units, but I guess I will just use one of them as Shelob.
Spider Swarms: These are too small to match the GW models individually but too big to fit onto a Warmaster base as a group model (the model is a rough 30mm circle).
So I am tempted to use just one medium spider as Shelob on a character base, and buy some other models for the spider unit. Any ideas?
-
Really? Damn!
http://hetairoiwargames.blogspot.com.es/2013/09/shelob-10mm-lotr.html
I was looking at this and thought it was smaller than that, and that it would fit on a "boss" base or 40mm round, perhaps.
Pendraken's stuff is a bit squished looking but would do for a Mirkwood spider swarm I thought?
http://www.pendraken.co.uk/AC15-p5135/
-
I do prefer the hetairoi wargame one.
Your army is great, Helge ! Your orcs seem to be luminous, and it's rare. I don't like dark figs with the warmaster range.
-
Ok, so much for the knock for not having Orks................. You're the man, that's all I can say. I sit breathless and more drawn to epic. I'm really trying to resist the urge of epic so please don't show me anymore :)
-
Gun_Wun, there are lots more Epic Orks here: http://wargamingworkshop.wordpress.com/games-armies/epic-armageddon/epicorks/
Stormwind, the big spider is definitely too big for a 40mm base. See quick pic taken next to a 40mm round base from GW. The body might fit, but you would really have to bend in the legs.
-
Here is quick hint on which army is on my painting table right now. A bunch of these units will be done this week if all goes well.
-
My Jaw ? Where is my Jaw ?
-
Oh beautiful!
Sorry to see how big that spider is - I was really hoping it would fit on a 40mm Renedra base.
-
More horsies (and stags I guess).
-
Stag riders really are a good idea.
What nation are they representing for you ?
-
The stag rider models are from Eureka and I use them as Wood Elf Wild Riders. The regular horsemen are from Magister Millitum and represent Wood Elf Glade Riders.
Everything else for the Wood Elf army will be from Eureka since their range is extensive. They just didn't have two cavalry types, so I had to be creative. Magister Millitum works out ok because both ranges are on the small side for 10mm. Eureka is around 8mm for the Wood Elves, which really doesn't mix well with for example Kallistra (more like 12mm).
-
Oh wow beautiful work! Are you using the fan list in the Warmaster Army Selector app?
-
Indeed. At least if that's the same list as the one in the Warmaster Armies version with the fan lists.
Realistically, I doubt that this force will see gameplay due to lack of opponents though. Mostly, I am after creating 2k WM forces that capture the "essence" of the old school Warhammer canon of the late 90's and early 2000's. The Warhammer game itself seems to have gone batshit-crazy in recent years with huge "Playmobile-style" monsters on a comparatively tiny board. I watched a battle report on YouTube recently and both armies were basically in combat on turn one and then just rolled massive amounts of dice until one side lost. Warhammer was never a game of massive maneuver but that certainly felt really odd.
Anyhow, my Warmaster collection is meant to be a reminder of the "old style" of the canon armies.
-
Well said. I remember the good old days when there was only two or three lists that could do a decent monster list and a dozen that couldn't. The Empire mechanical horse started the slide down the slope for me and now we have units of knights riding dragons and griffons. Woe to the old schoolers. Rant ends. :)
-
Well said indeed - your description of Warhammer made me laugh. I completely agree and it is why I gave up entirely on Warhammer in the last year or so. I only play warmaster and epic now (for GW games).
Beautiful modelling, painting and basing.
Dave
-
Well, there is always Warmaster to keep us Old Schoolers in business. Some more heroes of the host:

-
Dude you are making me seriously consider making a Wood Elf army!
Beautiful stuff!
-
I like them ! And i like the way you see your armies.
I had bought few years ago a small pack of Wood Elves forces... They appear to be pendrakens, but i do prefer yours. You seem to say a mix is not possible :(
I would have loved ot have stag riders too... I think i will order some.
Is it Orion himself ?
-
That is indeed Orion and the Wild Hunt. The model is part of the Eureka Wood Elf character pack.
I think the Eureka models would look too small next to Pendraken models. I bought some Pendraken models for spearman - a unit not covered too well by Eureka - but they definitely don't mix (about 50% taller with the Eureka ones going about to the breast of the Pendraken ones).
-
Please break it down per unit and say which model you used for what!
I am just going through different ranges now - I think I can find everything except Wardancers. Also, you don't get many dryads for your money in the Eureka character pack. :-X
-
I tend not to worry so much about cost so I don't know if my unit layout is the most economical. I used:
4 Archer Packs: Glade Guard and Waywatchers
2 Infantry Packs: Eternal Guard and Wardancers (spear and sword armed models in the pack respectively)
2 Character Packs: Orion, Spell Weavers, Dryads (two packs gave me two units of Dryads and plenty of character models).
-
Sounds good! I would be tempted to use the Warspite Elves from Eureka as eternal guard and the Infantry pack for the wardancers so there's a big distinction.
If I used the hounds to pad out the bases of the dryads then they might look less sparse.
http://thebrushsquig.blogspot.co.uk/
This guy uses Deamonettes for dryads but damned if we can get hold of them for a decent price right now. :-X
I also might copy his idea of using Dark Riders as the Glade Riders / Wild Riders.
You are really making me plan another army now. :-X
-
This guy uses Deamonettes for dryads
Alike these ones?
(http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t27/Bel_555/Warmaster/Wood%20Elves/Dryads.jpg) (http://s156.photobucket.com/user/Bel_555/media/Warmaster/Wood%20Elves/Dryads.jpg.html)
-
Yes, Bel, just like that!
Just my luck that the only demon left on the GW website is the nurgle one and not Slaanesh. =-P00
I think I would use the Eureka tree men to buff up the Wood Hag/Dryad bases and perhaps use a GW plastic dryad as a Tree Man as it is larger. Ack the cogs are turning in my head for this. :-X
-
I think the Eureka Treeman would be too large for a Dryad base. Keep in mind that the images of Orion, Treemen and Warhawk riders above are all on 40mm round bases, not 25mm (the Stag and foot heroes are on 25mm bases).
The scale issue is also significant. Attached is a quick photo of four different models from different "Wood Elf Ranges". From the left: Eureka Wood Elf, Eureka War Sprite, Copplestone City Archer, Pendraken Wood Elf
As you can see, the Pendraken elf is almost twice the height of the Eureka one. For some reason the Eureka war sprite is also much larger than the wood elf from Eureka. I don't think any of these would mix well, expect maybe the war sprite with the copplestone models (though that's the least useful combination). Regular GW models are about the same size as the Eureka models (in between the Wood Elf and War sprite).
Measuring from toe (not base) to top of the head/helmet, I get:
Eureka WE:10mm
Eureka WS: 12mm
Copplestone: 14mm
Pendraken: 15mm +2mm thick base (though this model has a bit of a stretching pose)
Hope this helps.
-
Oh wow, thanks for the comparison shot and explanation, Helge!
I just assumed that the Eagle and the Treemen were on 25mm bases, now I see they are larger than I thought.
I saw these 15mm dryads / tree folk but I think they, too, would be too large to mix with the wood hags from Eureka:
http://www.splinteredlightminis.com/dryads.html
http://www.splinteredlightminis.com/woodtrolls.html
It's a shame that so few "10mm" fantasy ranges actually fit that description! I think that I would just have to swallow that difference in scale. I like the idea of using the Copplestone rangers as Glade Guard too much to leave them out of it.
-
The Copplestone Rangers are actually 2mm smaller than the Copplestone City Archers so the gap won't be huge. That said, all the Copplestone models are a lot heavier/thicker than the Eureka models. So even if the height blends in, it is clearly visible than they are different types.
-
Ah, very good.
http://www.waylandgames.co.uk/alien-dungeon/fanticide/the-fae/fanticide-fae-sprytes/prod_19560.html?added=1
Just realised this - apparently these are the same models as the dryads from Eureka, but you can get 30 of them in one go. I think I'd get some of these as there's only so many wolfhounds and Orions I could use.
-
I found the Copplestone Rangers to be a straightforward painting task
http://www.forum.specialist-arms.com/index.php?topic=5102.msg40097#msg40097
and I always wondered if they would make good Glade Guard.
I also wondered if the ones with their bows 'at ease' could be turned into spears and then a shield added to make them Eternal Guard? Also toyed with the idea of greenstuffing cloaks on to Copplestone Horse Archers to make Glade Riders?
But I have so many other projects that I never even got to the prototype stage. So, over to you ...
-
@Empire Addict:
Ah yes, and a good painting job, too!
http://thebrushsquig.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/wood-elf-challenge-week-3-and-prototypes.html
This chap tried converting them into spearmen but it looks... Time consuming. I considered the Cop. Horse Archers too, but they have facial hair which marks them out as a bit un-elfy - so planning on using Dark Riders, myself.
-
Good point on facial hair. Nothing that a bit of filing couldn't fix? But given that Dark Riders are still available, I suppose that's a much easier win.
For a Treeman, how about Reaper Miniatures' 03243 Swamp Shambler? Don't have one myself, but saw it a while back while browsing.
-
The Dark Riders are closer in scale to the Eureka stag cavalry - so they would be my first preference. =)
I think that this:
http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/yhst-133546587642587_2264_0
Splintered Light Minis 18mm Treeman absolutely has me sold as my treeman.
-
On the topic of dryads (and warhawks)...

-
Ahh, amazing work, Helge! Out of curiousity, why did you use plain Warhawks instead of the Warhawks with elven riders? And what diameter of brass rod did you use to mount them?
-
I simply ran out of riders. The riders are the same models as those on the stags, and a lot of them were broken when I got them from Eureka (one particular type has a very tiny wrist so the bow hand keeps breaking off). So I didn't have any spare riders for the hawks (unridden Stags look silly, unridden warhawks are ok).
The rod is 1mm.
-
Thank you for explaining. When I get some I'll just have to cross my fingers that they riders are intact.
http://www.splinteredlightminis.com/dryads.html
These dryads I mentioned - I was thinking that I might get a pack, and put one in each Dryad unit as a signifier of a "command stand".
What I have in my head right now is a birch tree in autumn visual idea for them.
-
More specialist infantry: Wardancer, Waywatchers and Eternal Guard. I would have preferred a more "ranked" look for the EG, but that's all the spearmen you get in the Eureka warrior pack. They look more like individual fighters, so I based them accordingly. I added the dogs to the Wardancers for no other reason than to differentiate them visually a bit more from the EG.

-
Really, really nice :)
-
Awesome - this is turning into a real showcase army!
Dave
-
Absolutely brilliant! Nice, understated look for the waywatchers!
Are you going to have a Wood Dragon at all?
-
And the central core: 6 units of Glade Guard
(http://wargamingworkshop.files.wordpress.com/2013/12/wm-wood-elf-glade-guard-1.jpg)
The only units missing now are some Eagles (moved over from the High Elf army as I will make that one dragon-themed), a forest dragon and the Spell Weavers.
-
Beautiful! How many packs of Eureka archers did it take to make those units?
-
There are 10 models per base, so 30 per unit. The Eureka packs contain 30 models. So 6 packs for 6 units (though I bought seven just to have a backup since some of these models break easily).
-
Sometimes Santa is really nice ;)
Merry Christmas everybody!
-
Ah, very well done! Taking advantage of the Fantasy Flight sale I see. =)
I've spent all day drilling and green stuffing a High Elf dragon to use as a Forest Dragon, and preparing 2 units of Glade Riders thanks to this plog. =-P
What kind of dragon are you going to use for your HE army? The Kallistra flying ones I presume.
-
The sale was awesome indeed!
For the High Elves, I will use Kallistra dragons instead of Giant Eagles and a rider mounted on the Dreadfleet Dragon as a hero on giant eagle.
-
Great job. I want a wood elf army!
-
And some Eagles. Wood Elves are almost done! This is why I love paining smaller scales. A few days and bam, there is a motivational reward of completion.
-
Oh wow, well done! Though I do think you probably have a surfeit of command stands, now! =-P
What oclours do you use for the earth?
-
Thanks. I wanted to make one command stand per mount-type but had a few spare models. Might as well use them :).
For the bases I use the same process for all my models:
1. Glue on rocks for a few bases
2. Vallejo Pumice stained with black paint (to avoid "white dots" if I miss paint somewhere).
3. Drybrush bestial brown (old GW)
4. Drybrush Bleached Bone (old GW)
5. Drybrush rocks with a dark grey followed by a light grey (I pick random grey colours)
6. Paint the base edge Bestial Brown
-
You may want to chek on ebay the stuff for "N Scale" railroads. There are some dears, etc... Fitt perfectly our range and scale, but it's plastic. For my part, cows etc are perfect for sceneries.
Check for example ebay itemnumber 111246838540
-
And we are done. Some Spellweavers, an Ariel proxy and the mighty dragon. Very satisfying 10mm is indeed!
-
Dude beautiful work but what is the Ariel proxy?
-
You're a machine, Helge..........................
-
Uh. A year went by and not much happened. To motivate myself, I am posting a New Years resolution on my blog which includes painting at least two more Warmaster armies.
http://wargamingworkshop.wordpress.com/2015/01/03/new-years-resolution/
I think I will start with High Elves so that I have at least a full set of the "core armies". Watch out for 10mm incoming soon :)
-
Great looking wood elves! Never seen a wood elf army before!
Time of Madness
-
So congratulation to your excellent army! (and also to santa... you had been a good boy this year :))
The guy with the spear and the winged butterfly like wings is awesome!
-
Ditch those silly 40k and 28mm Fantasy armies and concentrate on the good stuff...
SAGA, Epic, Warmaster - you know you want to... ;-P
-
Alright, you convinced me :). I will start with a bit of Warmaster. A teaser is attached. I will paint up a few more units over the weekend and post the first batch of pictures.
-
Nice dragons! excellent stuff
-
Great mini-dragons
-
Oh excellent! Warhawk/Eagle proxies, I assume? =)
-
They look like terradons without the skink riders.
Time of Madness
-
Young dragons as proxies eagles ? (i like the idea)
-
Eagle proxies indeed. I am going with a dragon theme. More in my inaugural blog post for the HE:
https://wargamingworkshop.wordpress.com/2015/01/17/warmaster-high-elves/
And some infantry to help the dragons :)
-
I really like the red colour for painted bows, there, makes a change from wood!
-
Are the drakes Terradons?
Time of Madness
-
8 units at once!, that is a serious productions, wow.
great work
-
And horsey horses to go with the foot grunts.

The mini dragons are non-GW models but I don't remember where I bought them. Sorry.
My week is pretty loaded but I will try to get some more HE ready next weekend.
-
Hah, not quite senile yet. The dragons where from Kallistra:

"Flying Dragons"
-
That is a really great and neat work, dude. Congrat!
-
Grand work - are those shield transfers?
-
Yes, transfers. "Knights Mythical Creatures" from here: http://www.3vwargames.co.uk/upshop/shop/10mmtransfer.html
(plus the 15mm version of the same for the banners)
-
Great stuff. Did you have to fill in the transfers with white paint? Or are they opaque enough by themselves?
-
The transfers are plenty opaque. The shields are just Mechrite Red->Blood Red->Gloss Varnish->Decal->Gloss Varnish->Mat Varnish
-
Some more goodies. The army is taking shape...
-
Bloody hell your pace puts the rest of us to shame!
-
Yes Heldge go on! you are going to end HE army in 2 week? with a superb level of paint and base finish!
-
Break his fingers!
He's making the rest of us look bad!
-
And some characters. Almost done.

I will be doing some SAGA units next for variety. I have been cleaning up sprues in between the High Elves. I think I might have gotten carried away a bit though... I didn't really know what I wanted and historical models are so cheap - compared to Games Workshop - that I just ordered one box of every plastic kit available at my favourite online retailer (Gripping Beast Viking Hirdmen/Saxon Thegns/Dark Age Warriors; Wargames Factory Saxon Fyrd/Saxon Thegns/Viking Bondi/Viking Huscarls; Norman Conquest Cavalry/Infantry; and some Ancient Germans and Celts from Wargames Factory for good measures). It's only when I arrived that I realised that pretty much all Dark Age worriers look essentially identical... So now I have something like 500 models lying around for a skirmish game that is supposed to need ~40 models. Lots of sprue-scrapping :)
-
That's a lot of characters for elves, all looking very nice. Only 2 sorcerers?
-
Very nice indeed .
Stuart
-
Wow!
Absolutely stunning. How the heck do you motivate yourself to paint so quickly?!
And how did you get that fire effect on the mage - it's so vivid!
-
What he just said! I especially like the Mage; bold choice of colours.
-
And done. Some more dragons. More info on the smaller one here: https://wargamingworkshop.wordpress.com/2015/01/29/warmaster-high-elf-big-and-small-dragon/
(https://wargamingworkshop.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/wm-he-hero-on-dragon.jpg)
The fire for the mage is just fluorescent yellow (multiple coats) followed by thin glazes of very old Citadel Red Wash (which is shiny, not like the newer GW washes).
I will do some Saga next I think.
-
So nice, the little one seems they are far away in the horizont ! :)
-
The High Elves now have their own page.
https://wargamingworkshop.wordpress.com/games-armies/warmaster/high-elves/
Also, I finished up some Halfling bases for my Empire army just for fun.
Next are some SAGA warbands which I guess will go to a different forum :)
-
Ahhh Halflings are little skirmishers?! ADORABLE!
Also, I love SAGA so I won't complain if you post them here. =)
-
Great halflings! good work
-
very nice halflings. Where are those models from?
-
Thanks. The models are from Eureka Miniatures I think.
My budding SAGA efforts have found a new home here: http://studiotomahawk.freeforums.org/post38167.html#p38167
I will be back to this forum post-SAGA with probably another Warmaster army.
-
Looking forward to see more of your extralevel, super quick work!
-
Ha ha, I'm on the SAGA forum too!
As far as I'm concerned, my top priorities for this year are Warmaster and SAGA , hence my interest. =)
-
I will top you both !! we have been playing SAGA using Warmaster bases.....
