Looking at building a demon army , and would like some clarity .

1 can demon heros have both upgrades for wizards and being combat monster .

can demon charecters command any demon troops from any faction .

kind regards in advance

A Daemon hero must choose to be one of two types- a combat character (+2A, 100pts), or, for +25pts, a wizard (+1A, shorter command range).
A Wizard hero may then be given Favour of the Gods, which would boost him up to +2A.

What do you mean by 'faction'? The sculpts may be divided into the 4 different Chaos gods, but on the field a daemon is a daemon. So a Khorne character model can issue orders to Tzeentch hordes. Of course if you do that you're asking for a blunder...  ;)

That answers my questions kind sir . Many thanks for that . It also means the army could be very colourful .

I had thought originally  that the demons were split up into factions .

cool

Another  series of question ,
if demon heros have the upgrades for eith wizard or favour of the gods can they be given a magic item , adnd if so how many of the same magic items can you have in the same army ?

What's a good mix ie force for 2,000 pts ?

thank you for your patients

From memory, you can only ever have 1 magic item in an army of that particular type.... e.g. 1x Sword of Might, 1x Ring of Magic etc in an army.

Without looking for specific rules for an Demon hero or wizard, you can add 1 magic item to them, as is the same for any hero or wizard.  Restrictions still apply  - i.e. A hero is unable to use a 'wizard only' or 'General only' item.

No problem. :)

Tried it once or twice in my early days of Daemons, did not work well.
GD and Beasts are, in my opinion, to many points in one unit.
My standard opponent does, with great precision, aim at these with all cunning WM tactics and bring them down every time. So to me they are a game loser.
What may speak for the Beasts, is that even if they are down to one or two stands, your sorcerers can summon a new stand. Which of course my opponent knows and saves his Scroll for...  :'(

Come to Sweden in early november, maybe (hopefully!) the game that decides who is new Master will be between my standard opponent and Daemons above.  ;)
