Fello warmaster enthusiasts,
since the official minis are not produced anymore by GW, the prices on ebay skyrocket.
For those, who like me, like Chaos in Warmaster, there is a very interesting indiegogo campaign which offers models useable as Chaos Warriors, Trolls, Chariots and even a Dragon.

Welll.. the requested founding has been reached! 8)
It is a great new these new figures can come to life.
-
Great!
Congrat Yann.
-
Excellent! I think this is really encouraging.
-
Really like where the range is going . The herald looks stunning .
Stuart
-
Slightly confused by this - could I put my money down THEN ask to have the Erynies and the armoured trolls?
-
I would like to see the sorcerers !.
Once range is ready happy to send some money your way . Particularily like dragon hero as well both for evil men and undead army , he looks quite sinister .
As the range develops would like to see some more charecters , or even less well armed evil men and maybe hounds flyers would also be way cool .
Stuart
-
there will be harpy proxis (furies) if 1750 € is reached
-
On 1783 now! Eyrnies unlocked!
-
The Erynies came out, so I joined. I remember seeing these on the Pendraken website and hoping they would be available one day!
-
Yeah, wow actually they look pretty dynamic.
-
Cool , want some as well .
Stuart
-
Ok may seem a daft question if i pledge towards the project when would i have to pay ?.
Stuart
-
Postage
I'm working on postage to keep it down.
Once the miniatures will be ready to be delivered, I'll send you an Invoice on Paypal, with the real cost. This way, you'll only pay the right amount of postage.
But I assume this is only the postage and Indigogo takes the rest after project closes?
-
He's planning Chaos Spawn, now!
I wonder if he'd be tempted to do Blood Knights style vampire cavalry.
-
As I understood, when you make a donation to indigogo through paypal, they money is taken from you. If the project is reached the money goes to the maker of the campaing. If the campaing do not reach its goal, indigogo return the money to the users who make the donation.
-
Many thanks for that .
Stuart
-
wow character pack looks promising!
-
Mouth watering what hes creating . 20 command figures wow .
Stuart
-
Why has the campaign ended?
It says three days left.... I missed out :(
-
Same here, managed to get funds onto my Paypal only to find it closed two days ahead of schedule!! ??
-
This Crowd Funder is now loosing money because people tend to come on board in the last 48 hours. I would NOT be happy with the platform/host if this would happen to me!!
-
Excuse me for sounding dim , what does that actually mean , I have now got some money and was thinking of contributing .
Is the fund raising closed ?.
How can you loose money when pledges exceed minimum goals set ?
Stuart
-
Well I did try to use the site , it states 70 hours left , but being able to pledge it states has also ended , very strange .
Anybody know for those of us that missed the early dead line how we can contact the sculpter and place orders , so that we can let him know that we also support his great endever . And to let him know that there is a lot of support for him to continue producing 10 mm fantasy .
Stuart
-
Well I did try to use the site , it states 70 hours left , but being able to pledge it states has also ended , very strange .
That is what I meant Stuart
The last 2 days of a crowdfunder are the most important ones as people that where "holding out" will come on board, and right now that is impossible! I have time and money now to pledge, but I can't.
And it is not as if I will be checking every 10 minutes to see if, maybe, they fixed this problem ???
-
well thats crappy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stuart
-
Please read the comments, he is trying to fix the problem:
http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/evil-men-fantasy-10mm-miniatures?c=comments
-
Thanks for letting us know .
Stuart
-
Now it is fixed again,
http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/evil-men-fantasy-10mm-miniatures/x/6362857
-
Pledge made .
Stuart
-
Blimey it's heading for 2500!
-
Lighter infantry on the way , and sounds like more miniatures to come . It seems future projects are in the background .
Stuart
-
Blimey it's heading for 2500!
Are we looking at the start of a new 10mm figure manufacturer, with a number of fantasy ranges? Certainly hope so!
-
It would be very cool .
Stuart
-
Yeah looks great, I'm glad I got to pledge
-
They sound cool , what do they look like ?.
Stuart
-
Errr last reply doesn't make sense . I thought I was replying to the blood knights and what they look like .
Stuart
-
did anyone receive their minis? I still havent received anything
-
As I understand it he is still sculpting the figures like the commands, the spawn, the demon riders etc. so not ready to despatch yet!
-
Yann said in the comments section of the Indiegogo page that he hopes to deliver by "Summer 2014" but hopes to make it earlier than that.
-
not only the master sculpting, I guess they need to be cast and enter in the pipeline of the caster. But I the wait will be worth for sure ! 8)
-
Having been spoilt for units and different sculpts in the same unit , offering a wide variety . Whats next ?.
Stuart
-
ah yes!
my bad!
thx for the update people!
-
Has anyone heard anything about progress on this? I haven't had any news for ages. A delivery date would be nice to know.
-
As far as I know, I contact recently with Yann, and told me Leon still have them to cast.
-
As far as I know, I contact recently with Yann, and told me Leon still have them to cast.
Leon at Pendraken? That would go some way to explaining the delay. Pendraken are so busy it can take 3 weeks or more for an order of their own products to be delivered within the UK. Doing a large order and sending it overseas is likely to add to that time period somewhat!
The odd thing is, if it is Pendraken that are doing the casting, the figures will pass me on their way out of the country to Yann and then come back into the UK! It would possibly be cheaper if Yann got them to at least post the UK orders from Middlesborough? I could even pop up to Middlesborough to collect mine, I'm not all that far away.
Oh well, patience is a virtue I guess ;D
-
I am sure that with the talent of Yann and the skills proof of casting from Leon would be a great final product, so delay will be worth

Just browsing the French forum - there's difficulties with some weaker figures being damaged during casting. But there you can see for yourself the casts for existing figures, so there is progress being made. =)
-
That update is from a while ago (and was posted to indie gogo) this project does seem to be progressing but really slowly.
Hopefully early in the new year we will see the figures - the photos of the moulds look really good - I am keen to get these figures. (Even though I have many armies on the go already...)
-
News from the caster :
"The casting is going well, all the moulds are done now, and we have completed casting on the Infantry, Trolls, Herald's and Command. The others are all at least 50% complete, we just need to do a lot of spinning! The cavalry and erynies are the slow ones, but we are making good progress."
Visit the ‘Evil Men - Fantasy 10mm miniatures’ campaign.
-
It sounds like these may be nearing delivery - its been a long road to get the casting done.
-
Anyone know how to contact Yann directly? I'm one of the missing customers on his list, but in trying to contact him and the owner of another campaign, it seems like Indiegogo's messaging service isn't letting me get through.
-
Contact me in private on this forum.
Yann
-
Has anyone had delivery of their figures from this project?
-
Looking forward to the figures . Hopefully soon ! .
-
Looking forward to the figures . Hopefully soon ! .
+1 on that!!!
-
Ok bumping this one again.
There are 58 backers apparently. As far as I'm aware, only two people have posted anywhere on the internet that they have received their order.
Have any users of this forum got their stuff yet? VERY seriously considering contacting Indiegogo for a refund, 16 months after the campaign closed is ridiculously long to wait for delivery.
Have the backers been scammed? At the moment I'm down 84 Euros. Grrrrr. >:( >:( >:(
-
We did get a recent update that stuff was being processed and that the remaining cost of P&P would be billed afterwards, to accomodat getting stuff to backers. Also Yann is stll visiting the forum here too
-
It takes long, but we are talking about a whole range. So I guess it is worth for a talent guy by its own. Just my opinion.
-
It's the lack of communication that is puzzling me.
Is it too difficult to post a message, say, once a week, telling backers how many orders have been posted that week and how many he anticipates to send out the next week, with an end date of when the last one will be sent?
He's had the figures for well over a month now and in that time the communication with the backers has been vague and non-specific as to progress.
Patience may be a virtue but after this length of time, it's not unreasonable for it to be wearing very thin.
-
I'm with Andy on this - I've PM'd a couple of other backers in the UK and neither of them have had figures yet either, so it seems very few people have had figures.
I was happy enough to wait for while the figures were sculpted and moulded and cast - along with the various reworking.
But once the figures were cast and delivered to Yann, I was rather expecting that they would be sent out fairly quickly - the number of backers is fairly low, and while there are a number of different codes, I don't think that it would take this long to pick and pack that many orders.
While I don't have direct experience of sending out miniatures I have run a couple of dispatch operations, and if we couldn't get 60 orders out in 6 weeks, we'd have been closing down.
-
Had nothing yet either . This is becoming rather drawn out .

This cut from Indiegogo's terms of use:
Campaign Owners are legally bound to perform on any promise and/or commitment to Contributors (including delivering any Perks). If a Campaign Owner is unable to perform on any promise and/or commitment to Contributors, the Campaign Owner will work with the Contributors to reach a mutually satisfactory resolution, which may include the issuance of a refund of Contributions by the Campaign Owner. Indiegogo is under no obligation to become involved in disputes between Campaign Owners and Contributors, or Users and any third party. In the event of any dispute, such as a Campaign Owner's alleged failure to comply with the Terms or alleged failure in fulfillment of a Perk, we may provide the Campaign Owner's contact information to the Contributor so that the two parties may resolve their dispute.
Contributions, including the Service Fees portion thereof, are not refundable. If a Campaign Owner is unable to perform on any promise and/or commitment to Contributors (including delivering any Perks), the Campaign Owner will work with the Contributors to reach a mutually satisfactory resolution, which may include the issuance of a refund of Contributions by the Campaign Owner.
So, basically, if Yann doesn't deliver what we've all ordered, it's nothing to do with Indiegogo. Effectively they are, potentially, facilitating scamming and there's nothing contributors can do about it. Nice. Hands up all those who will ever use Indiegogo again?
-
Basic crowdfunding principles. It doesnt matter what service you use - they all have similar rules :/
-
Andy, there is no point getting upset at IndieGogo they are a facilitator.
Also crowd funding is funding not shopping - there is a risk involved in funding.
While the delays are annoying, I think it's a bit premature to call scam.

I hope you're right, I fear you might not be though. Well Rome wasn't built in a day I suppose...
-
Had a shipping email today - so hopefully the figures will arrive fairly soon 8)
-
I also recieve a contact from Yann. Great.
-
I got my lot this morning. Very pleased with them. The only thing is that it looks like the dragon will need some wrangling to fit together, but not too much.
-
Pictures! And how does one get it's hands on some? :P
-
I had just recieved mines. The figures are exquisites, great poses and very very originals.
I will try to picture them and link them into the catalogue.
Congratulations and thank you for your effort, Yann.
-
Package arrived today, at long, long last ;D.
First impressions, having only opened the envelope 10 minutes ago:
1) Some of the figures look to be a bit fragile, I think 1 or 2 of the standard bearers might be mis-casts.
2) Bases are generally small.
3) As jchaos says, good poses.
4) Not large/chunky figures, roughly the size of GW Empire figures.
Now all I've got to do is sort out the heavy and light infantry into Chaos Warrior and Marauder units.
-
Mine have arrived today too! :)
They are very nice figures - a huge number of poses - the infantry packs look to be 9 unique infantry twice, and banner bearer and drummer. The marching drummer is one of my favourites.
The command pack has all sorts of goodies - it will take a bit of working out what some are - the flame mage is cool.
The drake is huge!
Most of the figures do look quite slight - but fit with Empire infantry and Pendraken Romans that I happen to have on my painting table.
Yes, bases are quite small, whether this matters or not will be seen. I've not noticed any miscasts, most figures are very clean casts, with just a bit of filing on the bottom of the base needed.
The number of poses is great!

In short, I think making a Chaos army from these figures is going to be a little bit challenging. In long...
Made a start this morning. I've got one pack of Erynies, 20 figures that I'm splitting to make 2 units of Harpies.
Man but they are fragile! Be VERY careful, or you might break the figures from the small base they are on. It hasn't happened to me but more by luck than judgement I think! I don't know if the Erynies are suitable for gaming with, being so fragile, I can see them breaking in the heat and excitement of a game if you're a touch on the ham-fisted side. Fortunately I'm "just" a collector, so it shouldn't matter to me. Gamers beware though!!
As the bases are so small, I've stuck them to the 20x40 base by placing a large drop of super glue on the base, placing the figure into the glue, then quickly dropping fine sand around the figure base. All the while holding the figure, as they tend not to stand up on their own - especially the flying one!! ::)
If the infantry figures are the same, I'll be using a lot of sand and glue to fix them onto the bases - and I've got 8 infantry units to make up. Fortunately the cavalry, chariots and young drakes look to be OK for basing, another 8 units.
Anyhoo, my finger tips currently have bits of glue/sand on them, but at least I've got one unit on the bases. Painting next...
-
great tips Andy,
are you going for undivided chaos or are you going to give the army some demonic feature?
There is some pics here of the figures superb - painted by Kev! Hope it inspire you http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,12371.0.html
-
Good link, thanks jchaos, hadn't seen that page before ;D
I was thinking maybe a Khorne-based army with a red theme. The warriors/cavalry I might do with "iron" armour, black with a silver drybrush. Used to have some of those in 28mm years ago, a quick and easy paint job.
Not sure what colours for the young drakes yet, other than some shade of green, with maybe a yellow belly?
I'm waiting for an order for some Goblins and Burgunzian Flyers (DoW Birdmen). When I've got all that lot done, I might go for some Evil Giants to proxy for Ogres for both the Chaos and Orc & Goblin armies.
-
Burgunzian flyers? I guess MM?
would be great take a look (close up) of them when painted or bare metal

Yes, MM and yes, photos when I get my sticky little fingers on them ;)
-
thanks for the pics :D nice to see some of them painted up too. Very impressed with the details ^_^

Nice!
Might take me some time to get started on mine. My obsessive-compulsive personality demands I wait for black 20x40 bases from Renedra. But when I do, I think I'll go... green.
(Well, a bit green. I have trouble imagining that nurglite and khornite mobs and tribes, at least, take very much time to colour-code their clobber!)
One thing I missed from the campaign, and to echo mlkr: anyone know if these are going to be on general sale sometime? I think I'd like to expand on the few bagfuls I got.
-
Burgunzian Flyers? Can't wait to see a pic of them.
-
They look great!
Are these figures going to be released / bought by another company or is there a way to obtain them outside of the indiegogo campaign?
I'd be really keen for some!
-
Any idea if these will be available anywhere?

This is not "Evil Men", but Trolls.cz
-
Oh, sorry, I thought they were distributing them.
Apologies, my mistake.
-
Thanks all, I was able to get ahold of yann.
-
anyone know if these are going to be on general sale sometime? I think I'd like to expand on the few bagfuls I got.
After dragging out those few lonely bagfuls again, I still wouldn't mind. Have these fallen off the face of the earth?
-
I got yann's profile and messaged him a couple months ago. It took a little bit, but after doing some emailing with him I was able to order. Not sure how often he wants to place small orders, but he did for me. Worth trying to contact him!

Now on sale via the web ;D

Excellent. I didn't realise there was that many options. Great harpy subs and the heavy cav look like they could double as blood knights for VC. I'll certainly be keeping the models in the picture true for future projects.
-
Oh! Thanks for the heads up!
-
I've just ordered 4 units of the heavy cavalry and the hero riding nasty dragon thing. I figure they will make nice additions to my Vampire Count army (as blood knights as someone above suggested). I'll let people know what I think after they arrive. Apparently the company is waiting for a re-stock so it will be a few weeks though.

Got a bunch of light infantry and a character pack. I intend these becoming nurgle marauders and I think they're perfect. Character pack is wonderful. There's 2 that would make great subs for truth sayer & dark emissary. The cart is great and the squire overloaded with bags. Very pleased with this purchase.
