Is there anything big or small that has had a plastic kit in the past decade that you would love to see in 10mm?
-
Heaps- though not all of what I'd like to see has had plastic kits.
I'd like to be able to have all of my Warhammer armies accurately represented in Warmaster, which means I'd like to see more Wood Elf models (looking more similar to the WHF versions than what most companies currently make). For Orcs and Goblins I'd like common goblins on foot, squig herds (in an easier to buy format than is currently possible) and an army list that can incorporate all of the bizarre options together.
-
Hear, hear, regular goblins would have been nice.
-
Good news is that someone is working very hard on goblins , he should be making an announcement shortly .
But yes there are lots of units and armies I would really like to see in 10mm wm / fantasy .
first choice would be wood elves .
second choice demons
lots of poorly armed orcs
and of course everything else , as had previously been said .

I've only played WH once in the last 20 years, so probably not the best person to answer this.
The only models from that game that would be cool in 10mm, are the giant spider with goblin riders - but this should be easy to scratch build. Wild Orcs would be nice, and look different to other Orcs (I think these were available as WM specials?)
I'm quite surprised that Wood Elves are wanted - I thought there was quite a few options in 10mm already for them.
Demons are quite a hole in the 10mm line - perhaps barbarian can be persuaded into a second KickStarter.
-
There's loads but my top 3 wishes would be:
1. "Blood Knights" Heavy Vampire Cavalry for the Vampire Counts
2. Greatswords Elite infantry for the Empire.
3. Skaven slaves with shackles and chains, rags and spears for the Skaven
They would have to be compatible in size and appearance with the pre existing ex GW ranges of course.

There were limited edition models for both the spider riders and savage orcs- including savage orcs on boars. I agree it would be nice to have them more readily available again.
Wood elves do exist (some of the Eureka models are great), but none of them are really 'Warhammer' Wood Elves, and very few are made to be used in ranked regiments. For example, Eternal Guard have no really good 10mm versions- current units people put together are a mix of swords, spears and other odd pieces, often hard to distinguish from the 'Wardancer' units people make with the exact same castings. Even the archers- of which Eureka make a nice range- lack a visual cohesion when put in groups.
-
These are all good points!
The Wood Elves I honestly think are the best supplied of all experimental / fan lists. I would use the Warspite Elves as Eternal Guard - or the plastic elves from the BOFA boxes. That leaves the Eureka warriors to use as wardancers, even though they're not really dynamic enough. Copplestone rangers make good Glade Guard and that leaves the Eurekea archers to make the elite Waywatchers.
David: Your vampire knights is exactly what I was thinking of! I would also love some slave orcs to use for Chaos Dwarf lists.
Everyone wants goblins that aren't night goblins, which is fair. If they were small enough, goblins could be used for gnoblars in an ogre list as well.
There is an excellent Anachronok I saw on the French warmaster forum - made using the Warhammer goblin spider rider plastic spider.

Someone based in Siberia who is well known on these forums is working on some "Steppe Goblins" at the mo' and they look rather tasty so far!
I believe they are going to be released to the select band of gamers who frequent this forum later this year.

1 Goblin infantry - warriors, archers and spider riders.
2 Hobgoblin infantry - warriors and archers.
3 Hobgoblin bolt thrower - in fact a range of war machines without crews that could be used in various army lists.
4 Halfling hot pot.
VERY interested in the Steppe Goblins Dave!
-
DAve, if this is true, I'm in.

I've got a bunch of Goblin Chariot crew slated to be used as regular Goblins. I was never a fan of the Night Goblins. A Rogue Orc Idol to proxy as a Giant, just came up with an idea for that.
White Lions, Lion Chariots and Sea Guard. The latter I have covered, just need to give them real spears. :P The former two are going to take a bit of sculpting.
Chariots and Hounds of Nurgle. The former is nearly done, have some ideas for the latter.
-
Dave - you want White Lions?

Aren't these good enough? They look fabulous to me.

That's awesome, how do we get on that list :)

I guess, keep regular to this forum, and soon or late, the possibility pops up.

Let us not jinx or scare off anyone planning models - we must be patient...

Hi,
@ all Goblin lovers: have produced goblin spiders and goblin archers.
Sculptor was a professional from Wales. Griffin Moulds made them.
You can get them for a fair price. 10 € per unit.

I've never been impressed with Eureka's minis, no.

Where we can see an image of them?. And where we can get them?

You can See pictures at www.warimperator.de
If you are interessted just send me a PM. This is 100% private. I wanted them for myself and produced more than I need.

From what I've seen of our Russsian friend sculpting the steppe goblins , the range will be produced soon and contain numerous units .

This is sooooo unfair.... I have a renovation to do. How can it be finished when I have to now spend money on my hobby?? ;);D
-
Just think of all the new shinny models being added to our mountains of lead . New projects being revamped etc . Quite exciting really , as other sculpters are stepping in to fill our 10mm fantasy void .

I'd love to see someone model one of the new High Elf WHFB phoenix models for Warmaster scale!
I know you could probably use a proxy and paint it up in flames or frost but a proper phoenix would be cool.

High elf white lions would be great . Or dragon knights .

I'm painting some of the Eureka ones at the moment...still have to spray them with a matt varnish and do a little touch up here and there, and then base them, but I'm happy with how they are turning out...and they are perfectly scaled against Warmaster High Elves.

So I want for the Skaven
A Plague Menetekel, for Vampirecounts a Coven Throne.
But I dream sometimes from a starter Box that Includet
The Storm of Chaos with Vampire Counts,Chaos,Dwarves,Elves,Bretonian,Empire and Orks and Goblins all in Plastic kit
And very good cast quality nearly a copy between The WH Miniatures now in 10 mm.
That would be great for Imagine.
Think only on Skeletons in a fine cast with gaps between the bones!
A Game in Box Game like Bofa or Dreadfleet!!!
-
at the moment, I'd be happy with the old models back in production! ;)
I'm personally not a fan of the stylistic direction GW has been heading in for the past 5 years or so, with OTT design, such as the muscles-on-muscles minotaurs and ogres and all the sculpted flames/smoke/mist
Also not a fan of the giant monsters although they would certainly be a better fit for warmaster than WFB!
For me one of the very best things about moving to epic and warmaster is that the ranges match the 28mm models of 10-15 years ago and that is a very very good thing!

Dwarf Iron Breakers and Hammers.

Dwarf Iron Breakers and Hammers.
Amen! And Miners.

Well, a lot of stuff would be nice at WM scale:
* Nice dragons for HE, DE and Chaos. WM dragons are too slim, snake-like and small for my taste.
* Jungle Swarm for Lizardmen
* Desert Swarm for Tomb Kind
* Goblins on Spiders
* Squid Herd
* A Vermin Lord
* Cauldron of Blood
* Casket of Souls
* Mortis Engine, but would need to be better than the official one ;)
* Varghulf
* Corpse Cart
* Hell Canon
* Shaggoth
:)
