These are old photos that are from another thread that i was doing during the creation of another ship, but I took some new pics and am starting this thread as a wip thread.

It has been made to fit the weapon sides from my other ship the Typhoon strike cruiser.

Update!
Been working on the nose of this beast, had to scrap two of them to get to this point, this type of shape has never been easy for me but i am starting to get the hang of how to do it... it's mostly persistance though. I added some pics of part of the ship together and next to a standard GW cruiser for scale. This thing is around 6.5cm right now i expect it to be atleast 9.5cm same as imperial cruiser, or perhaps 10.5 at most. It's a thick ship, reminds me of the grand cruiser alot. C&C welcome! And idea's on anything i can add to make it better!

I made more progress on this monster, the nose is turning out to be a pretty big piece. That was expected as the last ship i created was thinner in the middle and heavier on either end. I added ribbing along the edges of the nose top and bottom, did some straps on the lower one i had in the image. Added some pillar/window style on the middle, they are different and alternate hard to see because it's white. I added a generator on the bottom of the nose. Last couple things i have left before i can finish with this and move to the engines is, complete the top of the ship, make the cannon, and extend the rear of the ship back 3mm to make it sit flush with the center section.
As i know when i watch a wip i really do like lots of pics on progression, you can learn a lot from pics. So i decided to snap a bunch as i go and put them up so people can see this item grow.

Really nicely made. Congrats.
I can't stop thinking this sort of work directly by hand will be less and less seen. 3D printers will probably become the standard.

This is true, but as i am not 3d design savy i have to rely on my own skill to reach my vision on some projects.

Update! Finished the nose, flushed it to the body. Finished the cannon out the front of the nose, i will still be making a piece that has torp holes. Did a mock up with the antenna turrets, broadside cannons, and launch bays. C&C welcome and encouraged!

Been working on the rear engine area. Starting some of the detail on the lower half, already aborted 1 upper and bridge, it just didn't look right. I think this beast is coming together nicely, i really started slowing down as i hit the rear part but i'm still pluggin away at this. I added the launch bay and energy turrets in this picture. The ship is right about 10.5cm long which is one cm longer then a standard imperial cruiser, so it should fit in nicely. C&C welcome and encouraged.

Rolling old school blind! Ya, I too would love to embrace 3D printing, some day, some day.......... It sort of sucks, my hand craft is finely developing, and now it's about time to jump mediums. Ahhhhhhhhh it's the nature of things I guess. I love the photos, it really tells the story and is a great learning tool. Man, I love the prow(front?) although I'm waiting to see it's rear! Ya, Da boss wants ta see her money maker! Those broadside Guns look really nice too. I'm loving the build.......... Keep going bro, keep going!

You should see some movement in this very soon, I got creative block on the bridge section but I think I may have worked out how I want to move forward with it. Just need to finish that and then the final detailing on the engine area.

Blue tac was holding it together, not very well might i add so sorry about the poor picture quality. Ive created the main outline of everything i am no adding in the detail, the bridge window and secondary bridge window is complete, i've also started some detail on the cooling fin on the rear.

Thanks guys, stillness to do a couple more passes on the detail of the ship. I was also thinking about doing some wings that hang on the side at the rear covering a good portion of the engines.

Did some detail passes on the bridge, actually quite a bit for the bridge. Did some added detailing to other bland and flat areas of the engine section, i think some of it came out okay other parts very good.

Look-in gut. I’d say the only fing I’d add is some big iron plates (iz good fer stopping shots at yer ship) I’d also add me some Big Glyphs to dem plates, ere n dare (dis keeps dem Fings from da Warp out of yer Boyz eads). Ahhhhhh those engines would be a heap betta wif a good red paint job. Dis will give yer ship da extra boost fer a smashing gits. Oh, wait……… yer prow is pretty weedy look-in fer smash-in. Perhaps ya should do some-fing abouts dat too. Ok, da question I’z gotz ta ask, an litten good see cause yous don’ts wants ta be show-in Da Big Boss until we’z getz dis straight see. Where is all da shootas? Nice build overall but it reminds me of “Da Sheep Squigs†wez rounded up fer sup-pa a whiles back. Ok, I’z gotz a heap good plan fer ya! Juz fly a few of dem pretty Krooers ova ere behind da big dead planet see and we’z will show ya firsthand how ta fix dem up real propra like!

Hey Boss, my bad.......... Ya knows it's a matter of juz fill-in da dead space. You omies likes dem lines all straight and wot not. So juz cut up some plastic card into small rectangles, squares n boxes den have at it. Ya know, juz makes it look busy enough. It's a whole lots more better going GREEN, see; den ya don'ts have ta worry much abouts it. I'd rather hand feed a litter of "Rippa Squigs" dan try n build a ship fer da Big Emperor Git. I'll tells ya wot. Latter I'll sneeks into me scrap yard and take a real close looks see at da one ya left da last time ya flew into me neck of da big empty. Let me gits me mits on it den I'z can tell ya abouts it a heap more betta.

Nice Work. Have you ever thought about CAD and 3d printing? You can already make nice stuff with home 3d printers. I also scratchbuilt a lot in the past but 3d printing gave me some new opportunities. ... and by the way it is much cleaner and I guess also a lot healthier than working with resins. ;D
