Title: [WM] Are there any synthetic plants suitably small for Lizardmen?
Post by: Stormwind on September 06, 2014, 10:14:32 PM
I know that for 28mm people have lots of options buying aquarium scenery to make up bases and jungles.  I've been casually browsing eBay and it looks like most things are way too large for 10mm.

Are all plants too large for Warmaster bases or has anyone had any luck getting foliage the right kind of scale?

I recommend plants for railroad models measurement "N" .

Some example (sorry in Czech):

I have managed to find some aquarium plants that are quite fine leafed, and have used them on Lizardmen bases. It takes a bit of rooting around ebay, and trying to compare the sizes of leaves. I went for long thin strand like plants, that had lots of small fronds. The plant turned out to be lots of small sections that come apart easily, and could be cut up further.

Dave, the original purchase was too long ago to be still on ebay

but these look similar

these mixed ones look to have potential as well

even the strand bits that go down over the artificial rocks work quite well

The plants are made of small modular components that clip together, so can be disassembled into smaller parts easily, and cut up further too
