Title: Intro game with craftworld eldar
Post by: Zarathustra Sucuine on September 18, 2014, 03:12:08 PM
So a mate of mine has mentioned that he would be up for a bfg intro game if he could use my craft world eldar, the only intor games I have done before have been chaos vrs imperial, so I was wondering what ships people would suggest for it, say adapt cruiser clash? I.e two Wraithshipes vrs two imperial cruisers/light cruisers?

Craftworld Eldar.
For intro games always difficult to use a specialised fleet.

I would say something like:

1 Dragonship
2 Wraitships (torpedoes)

vs
1 Imperial battlecruiser
2 Lunar cruisers.

The the dragonship with launch bays if you opt for an Imperial carrier CB or otherwise when the torpedo variant is being used an Imperial gunship cb.

Don't havea  dragon ship, it's on my to convert list.
Eldar wise I have wraithships and the escorts, I have most things imperial.

In that case: 3 wraithships vs 2 lunar+1 dauntless.

If you only have two wraithships then ehm 2 lunar.

Which Eldar ruleset will you be using?

If you use GW rules don't forget to apply FaQ 2007, GW Craftworld rules weren't updated with.

Correct, but the FAQ2010 never went onto the GW website.
