OK, first photos of the guys with an ochre undercoat.

Ah, it begins! 8)

Went a little bit further with painting than I intended but these aren't yet finished, still some bits of painting to do and the basing to finish off.
-
Very promising. Looking forward to them finished.

Finished :D

Nice work.

Very nice!
If it were me, I'd add a diluted black or brown wash, just to tone down the colour a bit and blend it all together.
Well done

I did use a small amount of wash on the flesh areas, to add some definition. I've previously washed over entire figures but I find that doing it on light colours, such as yellow, dulls things down too much for my taste.

If you do decide on a wash - which I recommend. You could finish up drybrushing the light colours back on afterwards with a very light amount of paint. That would bring out the colours again and depth at the same time...

I might give it a try. Although everything has had to be put away for awhile as SWMBO is having a "house tidy" blitz and my stuff scattered about "looks messy" ::) ::)
I just need to leave it until she gets her scrapbooking stuff out in a few days, then it'll be "weapons free" on the painting front :D
