Not a full blow by blow - but an interesting experience for me and my friend.  I couldn't believe how badly I'd misinterpreted the rules for:

Brigade formations
Brigades splitting
Shooting
Shooting as a reaction to being charged

Oh well, I think we have it now. =)

That table seems really good.

Do not matter about commit mistakes during the game, it is the only way of learning. When you had a mistake  and it is corrected, you are not going to make it anymore.

very nice seeing your miniatures hitting the table!

Thank you!

The forests are MDF templates cut out by me and my father.  I put Vallejo pumice on them - then painted them and put static grass on.  It was mostly successful.  I have 3 more here I've just undercoated black.  I realised, however, that lots of smaller ones on the table doesn't always "feel right".  So I'm planning on doing a few ones that are about twice the size, and ones for corners or the sides of the table.  The ones that flank the sides of the battlefield make it much more "organic".

The wonderful marshes and lakes are by http://www.gamescenics.com/swamps-and-marshes << Game Scenics.  I plan on getting some escarpments and rivers from them at some point.
