There seems to be a flurry of interest in Warmaster Landships at the moment, so I thought I'd share the one I'm currently working on. Haven't made much progress in the last few months, but there you go.
The first picture shows the ship itself. Unlike some of the other (great!) projects on here, I'm aiming to use this with Steam Tank rules, so it's closer to a scale model of the Forgeworld model and intended to fit onto a regular 20x40 base. I still need to create the steam engine, build the aftcastle and add the mast, some ladders etc.
The second picture shows the crew and the mast and crow's nest. There's a little painting to do - particularly on the captain himself.

Very nice. Where is the base boat from, and the pirate captain?
-
The boat is made from a pen lid, sawn in half and then built up with plasticard at the sides. I carved a deck out of a lollipop stick and fixed that in there, then (as you can see) covered the whole thing with a layer of green stuff to get the planking effect.
The pirate captain is converted from one of the Empire artillery crew - I gave him a coat, changed his hat and bent the sword into a cutlass.

Really nice convertion, and great model you are creating!
Looking forward to see how the project advance!

Splendid! :)

Where did the basic ship come from?
-
See above - it's scratch built. I deliberately went for more rounded prow like the Forgeworld model, so a pen lid worked perfectly.

Ah, sorry, reading comprehension failure!
