Title: AAR: Dark Elves vs. Bretonnians [1500 points]

A little battle at our club this past Friday. (2nd January 2015)

Hopefully the first of many Warmaster battles this year. =)

Russ can build and paint an army super fast - he's currently working on a proxy Araby army made (again) using Pendraken figures.

Why so many magic items? 330pts for the Dark Elves, I think- that's a large chunk of points. I also found your distribution odd- why give the banner of shielding to crossbowmen? a 6+ save, lost when the first stand is lost, can't have done much?

I like the bretts and like see them fighting in the battletable, not interested to buy. I am please to see the figures in action and of course I am interested in see how it has been proxy the araby army.

I also have an araby proxy army with pendraken, irregular, old glory and a bit of GW and fits well !

It's interesting to see you on the offensive so early in the game. Looks like the majority of the battle took place in the Bretonnian deployment zone.

I think if you had a little bit more terrain on the field you could have used the infantry to more of andvantage.

Anyway we can see the Bret list?

The Dark Elf player in other rule sets wins more often than he loses, what has been interesting though is that he has lost more games than he has won in WM. I believe the high level of Magic items is the cause of this.
When he has enough metal on the table and the magic items decrease, then we will see changes.
