Hi guys,
has anyone ever tried a sequence like this:
- player A moves ship 1, fires with ship 1, end phases with ship 1
- player B moves ship 2, fires with ship 2, end phases with ship 2
- player A moves ship 3, fires with ship 3, end phases with ship 3
...ans so on till ships end
- Ordnance phase as usual
Do you see any advantages/limits/problems?

Yeah I've screwed around with alternating activations before. The ordinance is where the issues arise though nothing that couldn't be fixed by treating them as a unit. I like the concept better than IGOUGO in general.

It seems like it would be far more advantageous for ponderous fleets (IN, Tau, Space Marines, etc) and less so for agile fleets (Eldar MMS and DE) and really bad for Eldar MSM.
However, it would like to try it IN versus Chaos. Very similar to Aeronautica Imperialis.
What would possibly make it more interesting is if you, like in AE kinda, had to decide what Special Orders to go on before starting the movement phase.
