It means the Imperium has turned its gaze upon a system and it intends to impose law and order upon the citizens. This carries over into any fleet presence in system, as no one is beyond judgement of the law. All friendly vessels within 15cm of a Punisher Strike Cruiser are +1 ld.
Arbite Crew:  Arbites ships receive +1 in boarding actions.

Python Class Scout Sloop- 30pts (IN and Rogue Trader)

If using Attack Ratings the Python allows you to reroll your die result if you choose (you must choose whether you will use this option before rolling!). To use this option you must have one python per 500 points.  If this option is chosen the Python is not deployed as standard. The Python (or Python Squadron) must be deployed after all other ships, within 45cm of an enemy ship if possible. If there are no enemy ships present the Python (or Python Squadron) may be deployed anywhere on the table so long as it is not within 60cm of a friendly ship, and cannot be combined in a squadron with a vessel of another class. If you do not choose to use this option the Python is deployed as standard.

In regards to the Ambition class, wasn't this simply the Rogue Trader cruiser ported to the RT games? I've only glanced a few of the RT books and don't play so can't say for certain. I do remember seeing the Ambition class and couldn't help thinking that's what they did.

Can anyone on here with the book in question look this up and confirm/debunk this?

Shadow of Vengeance: Agree
Punisher Class: Agree
Python: I think the 180 degree turn is a bit OTT. On CTNH orders you can do a 360 turn! Whilst it would be a novelty to do doughnuts in space, I think 90 is good enough ;)

I'll look into the ambition some more, but I think there is enough to make it separate.

I'll also find the old discussion on the python. It was vetted in the past for the IN. It is super weak and isolated.  The idea was to give it a way it wouldn't automatically be destroyed.

Just re-read the Python, and saw the 4+ armour. 180 turns would help out a lot in that case. Swear I'm going blind sometimes...

Anyone remember the name of or know where I can find info on the Sisters of Battle Retribution class battleship (I think it was a Ret) from Daemonifugue (I think that is what it was from). Really need that to add to this.

Those three look OK, but would make the Auto AAf on the comet to +1 on AAF tests.

What about something like this (not that your idea is bad, just thought of something cool)
Fix the LD value of the Comet at say 8
If you pass with an 8, it is the normal 4d6
With a 7 or 6 it is 5d6
With a 5 or less, it is 6d6

So how should I make the Conquest star galleon different than the Imperial High Conveyor in IN. It will be a little smaller (equal to 2 transports, but as for weapons, I think a little more capable).

Any ideas on what it should look like? Or should I use the Imperial High Converyor design for this and use something else for the Conveyor.

Comet: in retrospect, we could just say +5d6 AFF. It's the least radical option. I think set Ld's are for Fleet Commanders and characters, whilst auto-pass for SO should remain a racial thing ('Nids/Orks). Did ponder +6d6, but that's pushing it a bit for me

As for the Galleon, based on the stats for the HC, were you thinking on these lines?

10hp Battleship/Cruiser
20 cm
45 turn
2 shield
5+ armour
3 Turret
Prow wb's- 30/45 cm, fwp 5/6, FLR
Dorsal wb's- 30/45 cm, fwp 5/6 FLR
Port & Strbd wp's 30cm, fwp 6, as arc
counts as 2 transports

Were you thinking 3d6 AAF, or 4? I'm assuming it wouldn't get the -1 Ld being a RT vessel.

Just been thinking on transports; heavy transports (6 hits) count as 2, the High Conveyor (12 hits) counts as three...shouldn't it be more like 4, maybe even 5? This would put the Galleon at 3/4 Sorry to drop this on you now, but wasn't really around for the end of the ASC:IN being finalised:s
For the comet, I reckon that should be one. It's really just a bigger version of the fast clipper from the old BFG mag (counted for 1/2 a transport IIRC), both sacrifice Cargo space for extra speed.

I like your point for the high conveyor.

The Galleon seems a little uparmed, but a very good starting point. HP10 Grand Cruiser.

I was hoping for a more radical option for the comet. There are other ships that already have +5d6. Maybe just as you said, +1 to ld rolls for AAF. It is the only "blockade runner" and should IMO be the most capable ship at boosting away.

I also made it a full transport to cut out the complexities of 1/2 transports. Especially since typically you round up in BFG anyways... But how annoying would the argument be if the margin of victory was 4 transports (just an arbitrary number for my example) and you got 3.5... And if no rounding is done, what is the point, unless you take 2. Which not many people will be able to do just model wise.

I was thinking about that. I hesitated though, so didn't do it. They aren't really a Planetary Assault force, and since they are used through INQ fleets, they also don't have the effective lance limitation that Marines have.

Okay yeah that makes sense. The other thing that just occurred to me was something for exterminatus but that's really more scenario specific isn't it?

Yeah. And usually SM in the fluff are used for that. Otherwise the ecclesiarchy would just be wasting planets left and right because of the smallest heresy  ;)

What we're you thinking though?

Yeah that doesn't sound like something the inquisition would do...  Off the top of my head I'd imagine a special torpedo. Let me think on it some more though. Theoretically depending on the mass of the projectile and the % of the speed of light it gets to a nova cannon on its own would do the trick. But that's splitting hairs.

I think the SoB are more likely to have things like Melta Torpedoes or Barrage Bombs than outright Bombardment Cannons...

Hmm, perhaps you could split the Adepta Sororitas up between the military arm of the Ecclessiarchy and the military arm of the Ordo Hereticus. Perhaps this could still be one list, but depending on who the commander/warlord of the fleet is, the Adepta Sororitas would be Ecclessiarchy or Inquisition.

Each possibility could have specific options/upgrades for the fleet. So whilst the Ecclessiarchy might not have Bombardment Cannons, the Inquisition would have access to those.

Food for thought...

Sorry, been busy

Love the melta torpedo/barrage bomb idea

As for the INQ/Ecclesiarch separation. There isn't going to be a seperate SoB fleet. Basically they will have a few character ships to take along with either IN or INQ. INQ already has its own fleet list, some of which have Bombardment Cannons. But the Sisters themselves don't...

""The Adeptus Soriatas is known and feared throughout the galaxy. They are the daughters of the Emperor, his most zealous and pious warriors who lead the many Wars of Faith against the enemies of Man.
Even though the Orders Militant of the Sororitas serve as the armed arm of the Ecclesiarchy, they primarily rely on the greater Imperium for transportation and war amongst the stars. However, some Orders maintain a handful of warships. Of these none is more venerable or as reknown as the St. Dominica’s Vengeance of the Order of the Ebon Chalice.
Saint Alicia Dominica is the Patron Saint of the Adeptus Sororitas and the founder of the Order of the Ebon Chalice. During the Age of Aposty she served as the leader of the Brides of the Emperor, the bodyguard of the High Lord Goge Vandire and the most elite cadre of the 10,000 strong Daughters of the Emperor. During the climax of the Reign of Blood, multiple Astartes chapters, joined by the Adeptus Custodes and Adeptus Mechanicus, laid seige to Vandire’s Ecclesiarchal Palace. A small Custodian strike force was able to sneak within the palace and confronted Dominica and her Brides. The Custodes Centurion was able to force a truce between the Custodians and Brides long enough to bring Dominica before the Emperor. It is unknown what transpired behind the doors of the Eternity Gate, however when Dominica emerged from the Throne Room, she was filled with righteous anger, finally aware of Vandire’s treatchery and perversions of faith. Dominica then negotiated a ceasefire between the Imperials and the Daughters and then entered Vandire’s chambers. There she found him plotting his next move over a galactic map. Upon pronouncing him a traitor she executed him with her power sword, cutting his Rosarius in half, the very one he had utilized to deceive the Daughters into his service with.
In 650.M36, the Living Saint Dominica finally fell during the Scouring of Frideswide’s World, falling to a single las beam. Upon her death, Ecclesiarch Equitus IX established the office Abess of the Adepta Sororitas, named her the Patron Saint of the Sistehood, and commissioned the vessel St. Dominica’s Vengeance, all in her honour.""
