Title: Strike Cruiser spam viable?

Seeing as I dont like the standard GW marine escorts, and my dealer hasnt got FW style escorts, I was wondering if a list composed of this would be useful?

Battle Barge

3x Strike Cruisers, replaced launch bays with bombardment cannon, extra shield
3x Strike Cruisers, extra shield

2x Novas

Theres two chaos fleets, an imperial navy fleet, two marine fleets and an eldar fleet where I play.

I won Adepticon twice with the list, so suffice to say, yea it's pretty viable. Gotta know what you're doing though.
